Starting positions:
Goblins/|SvG|Murker - West
Dwarves/[RitD]Statler - East

Overview:

A pretty decent game, showing that Goblins vs Dwarves isn't hopeless anymore and with the right strategy it can still be won. Statler went for the usual Phalanx --> MoD strategy, while Murker chose for a standard Goblin spam, which was used effectively from the start. The powerful MoD + Phalanx combo was hard to beat off for Murker though and that put Murker on the defense for a while. But it definately wasn't the end as Gorkil + Azog formed a very powerful combination, especially Gorkil's Leadership. Slowly, but surely, Statler was pushed back and eventually he was the one locked in his base. A Goblin army with Gorkil and Azog took out the Fortress, which pretty much meant the end for Statler. Overall, a nice game, with a few mistakes here and there.

Goblins/|SvG|Murker

Well played by you, you played a really good game with only a few small mistakes. There are still a few things I'd like to point out. First off, if you have 2 Goblin battallions vs 1 Phalanx + 1 MoD, use 1 Goblin batt to fight the Phalanx and the other to fight the MoD, this way more damage will be dealt. Also, clump Goblins into the MoD to kill them faster. First run them into the ranks of the MoD, activate poison and kill them. Creep lairs as well with either your Heroes or your normal units, this will give you a pretty good economy buff although it may not seem like that at first, your PP will also increase more and will get you powers like the Watcher faster. Another thing, use forward tunnels through which you can channel your Goblins into his base, this way you'll be in his base much faster and are able to harass him a lot better. Something I hoped to see, but didn't, is the leveling of your caves. Now although you may think that this limits your spam, it doesn't if you upgrade them one by one and it would have prevented you from losing a lot of Caves, except by Barrage. Another thing, Tainted Land's LD doesn't stack with Gorkil's, so use one or the other and not both. If you face enemy heroes with Gorkil and he's level 6+, mount him and use his Poison Stinger ability to kill them.

    Tips for improvement
  • Level your caves one by one, just try it, they are a whole lot more durable.
  • Creep lairs for a better economy and more PP, especially the latter part is really useful.
  • Use forward tunnels for better harassment and expand more as well.
  • Mount Gorkil to be able to use his Poison Stinger on heroes.
  • Clump Goblins into the archers to kill them faster.

Dwarves/[RitD]Statler

Not bad from you, although there were a few crucial mistakes, which have to be pointed out. First off, build the Mine first at 97% and then the HoW facing it, you built them way too far apart. Also, RC isn't necessary vs a Troll, just put your Phalanxes in aggressive and put them in battle stance as soon as the Troll swipes, put them back in aggressive after. Take both Inns, it will give you better map control, multiple angle harassment and more MoD. Another thing, use Black Arrows vs heroes, not vs Goblins, they die very fast to their normal arrows anyway. Don't be too eager in attacking as well, sometimes it's better to mass a force first and then attack, rather than sending in small waves constantly. Another thing, get Dain first, his leadership + Rally Call makes your units infinitely stronger (+150% damage and +75% armor in aggressive stance). Creep lairs for more PP and resources, but PP is the major factor as you could have gotten Barrage a whole lot faster by doing this. Last, consider the Hobbit power instead of the MoD power, Hobbits can destroy the Fortress on their own, quite easily and if you have backup, even more. Frodo's Phial ability will also scare away any nearby units and the Hobbit rocks can take out the remaining heroes.
    Tips for improvement
  • Take both Inns for better map control, multiple angle harassment and more MoD.
  • Expand a bit more, use forward Mines from 3 sides, the western ford, the middle and the eastern one.
  • Get Dain first, Rally Call stacks with his leadership, which makes your units have +150% damage and +75% armor in aggressive.
  • Consider the Hobbit power as your first 10 PP power, with some backup, it could end the game for you right there.
  • Don't use Black Arrows vs Goblins, they die fast enough to normal MoD arrows, use that vs heroes.
