Starting positions:
Angmar/EaE|A^atar & Goblins/EaE|LethaL - North
Isengard/JR|Schlecht & Mordor/locoluky - South

Overview:

A very good game which was also highly entertaining. There were battles always and everywhere on the map and both teams showed good teamplay. Both teams used so many units and adapted their strategies a lot, it is pointless to describe their strategies. A very good game, recommended the watch for everyone.

Angmar/EaE|A^atar & Goblins/EaE|LethaL

A good game by you, you played together as a team very good and barely made any bigger mistakes. You started out quite good and were able to gain the upper hand the first minutes by heavily spamming your opponents and keeping them busy. You however couldn't uphold the pressure once your opponents got the turn on how to defeat your infantry units. You then adapted very good by building spider- and wolf riders, these units helped you very much at harrassing your opponents. When Mordor had a fellbeast you were a bit helpless in the beginning and lost lots of units to it but you could again adapt very fast, getting out mass axe throwers was a good idea and I could even understand why you(LethaL) suicided your spider riders against the fellbeast, it was a very good move to weaken it so it can't harrass you because Drogoth would only wait outside their base and kill the fellbeast. Although you were doing pretty good against your opponents you weren't able to gain such a dominating role as you had within the first minutes, this was due to an inferior economy: Both your opponents had industry, this gave them such a strong economy that they were able to build as many units as they wanted. You made some good attempts to destroy the industried resource buildings but you have to constantly search after them and be more bent on destroying them. Your unit mixing at all was very good, you always had the right units to counter your opponent ones. I loved how you(LethaL) e.g. used the goblin archers for their maximum effect or how you(A^atar) combined the Rhuadaur axe throwers with Hwaldar and managed to deal lots of damage without lots of units.
Your overall micro was good, you used your units with very much efficiency and didn't waste lots of units. Your hero micro though can be improved a bit, sometimes you have to retreat them earlier, but it was mostly good, I don't understand how Drogoth died in the end though, he was at 1/3 of his HP and suddenly died.
    Tips for improvement
  • When having to deal with Lurtz' cripple strike always try to fool your opponents with a hero that isn't too important. This way you can avoid losing your strong heroes.
  • If you know that both your opponents have got industry, try to sneak in some units to destroy the industried resource building. I saw you doing this once, but you have to do this repeatedly.
  • Be more careful with your heroes, it is best if you retreat them when below 50% health or at the latest with 1/3 of their health.

Isengard/JR|Schlecht & Mordor/locoluky

Also a very good game by you and a nice team performance. Your start was okay, although locoluky was afk in the beginning you didn't lose too much ground. Within the first minutes you were in a slightly worse position than your opponents but you defended yourselves pretty good with the help of locoluky's orc archers that were everywhere on the map and dealt with enemy units. You got out your first heroes(Lurtz and Gothmog) quite fast and were able to kill lots of units with them, especially Gothmog sometimes acted like the fire department who defended the fortress against enemy units. As soon as you had the industry spell you could put more pressure on your opponents due to infinite resources to spend. You then recruited the heroes of higher tiers and made good use of them. The fellbeast of locoluky really caught your opponents off guard, but also Saruman did deal much more damage as your opponents expected. You(locoluky) however got fooled by the Goblins one time where you were engaging his spider riders, he was able to get your fellbeast into red health which made it unusable for several minutes because Drogoth only waited to kill it. Still you gained the control of the game and went for massive spammage to also control the map and were successful. After some back and forth action you were finally able to end the game with the help of catapults and axe throwers. Your unit mixing was also very good and made your armies close to untouchable for most units. Sadly your(Schlecht's) deathbringers didn't deal as much damage as you expected them to do and died quite fast to the fortress fire.
Your micro was good, nearly flawless. I didn't see any real mistake of you, talking about unit and hero micro.
    Tips for improvement
  • Locoluky: Improve your stance usage. I saw that you didn't always put your orc warriors into guard stance when they were soaking up damage for your orc archers.
  • Work on cashfloating. I saw that you both had lots of unspent cash, your cash is worth nothing if you don't spend it. Schlecht had once over 6000 and locoluky over 4000, try to avoid this. You can e.g. build fortress upgrades, heroes or upgrade your unit production buildings.

Orcs+At dont let him breath at early game. Make fast sorcerers=gg for mordor

Then make lancers to take the sorcerers.

Well like I have said in many threads, any match up is winable. But this was hard for us b/c it draged into late game where isen and mordor dominate, and as for both of you arguing that anmgar pwns mordor I disagree, I think it is even, but thie is pointless b/c Lethal was up against mordor wink.gif , and he was goblins, which is an imba match up and there is no arguing that, mordor orc archers pwn goblins very easy, and Wildmen are tougher than gundbad orcs, so any way you look at it this was a more favorable match up for JR.

I am not trying to talk down on the replay though, well played to everyone, it was an intense game. biggrin.gif
