Goblins ([BGS]Fury) & Dwarves ([BGS]Rosas): North
Isengard (raC^El^DiAbLo) & Isengard (raC^lagabuse): South

Overview:

A very good game here between four very good players. It wasn't a long game but none of the players ever rested. BGS applied doubled pressure on the south-west Isengard and eventually managed to overwhelm his defenses with combined effort, Azog claiming the fort. Thereafter it wasn't long before raC surrendered.

Goblins & Dwarves - BGS

Build Order: Tunnel - Tunnel - Cave - Tunnel - Cave
Power Point Path: Bats - Tainted Land - Wildmen

Build Order: Tunnel - Tunnel - Hall of Warriors - Tunnel
Power Point Path: Rallying Call - Heal - Dwarven Riches

You two played very well as a team in this game, constantly reinforcing each other. Your strategy to double the Isengard with the steading start was a very good idea and well executed. There were some stance issues along the way but the main criticisms are first that Fury could have helped Rosas against the harassing Uruks more than you did and harassed the south-east base (which was basically untouched as Rosas couldn't afford to attack there). You only helped Rosas after he asked you to when earlier help could've given you his stronger support later on. Rosas could have easily lost his fort at one point in the game, and you wouldn't have been there on time. Then Rosas, you failed to purchase pikes toward the end of the game when fully upgraded Wargs were on the run and rather kept on wall hubbing your fort and building new tunnels when you didn't have a single unit in your base to defend which was very risky. Aside from that, very good game by you two.
    Tips for Improvement:

  • Don't lose track of stances.
  • (Fury) Support your teammate a little more, you tended to only do so when he asked you for help. Also harass his opponent's base when he can't afford to, lagabuse had a flourishing economy.
  • (Rosas) Don't relinquish your tower just in order to build a tunnel with your builder unless you're sure your opponent won't capture it. The tower's strategic advantage is too significant to give it up so easily.
  • (Rosas) Always keep on producing units, especially when your opponent has dangerous units such as fully upgraded wargs on the map.

Isengard & Isengard - raC

Build Order: Furnace - Furnace - Steading - Furnace
Power Point Path: Birds - Industry

Build Order: Furnace - Furnace - Uruk Pit - Furnace
Power Point Path: Birds - Devastation

Though you guys played very well, you made some significant mistakes along the way which cost you a game you could have won. The game started off badly when lagabuse made the fatal mistake of wasting time in the beginning by attacking the tower (which you left without killing then ...). You saw your mate was being doubled and should have immediately sent your first unit to find the dwarven forward tunnel or to attack the undefended dwarven base and destroy his base economy (which would have paralyzed the dwarf early game). Then later in the game lagabuse had the perfect chance to wipe out the dwarven fort. You had Lurtz as well as 2 Warg Riders and 2 Uruk pikes and the dwarf had nothing but his BW and one phalanx. You were right next to the fort but attacked the Forge Works instead, losing one Warg batt to the BW's barrel and losing Lurtz's full health to the phalanx and fort. You knew he had no more CP, so couldn't get new units and you could have almost certainly killed his fort which would have made the game look very differently. Then you lost Lurtz to Azog very needlessly later on and used all your Devastation money on Heavy Armor upgrades which are relatively futile against goblins. Diablo made a serious mistake as he let his Industry power idle for several minutes ... You had no furnaces and were waiting to get a new one up to use it. That time could have boosted lagabuse's economy exponentially had you dropped it on his furnace instead and he could have shared his income with you. In the end lagabuse should have helped out much more and diablo, you kind of failed to try to block the goblin army with your own (ever so small) army which would have bought you time. Also, keep an eye out for Azog to cripple him in advance with your Lurtz.
    Tips for Improvement:

  • Don't waste time early game especially not when one of you is being doubled.
  • Don't lose your Lurtz needlessly and don't bug him (both of you did repeatedly) by attacking too soon after activating his carnage.
  • (Lagabuse) Help your mate out much more if he's constantly being doubled.
  • (Lagabuse) Don't hesitate to go for a fort kill with Lurtz and your army if you have the opportunity. And don't leave expensive units such as Wargs to perish in barrel fire.
  • (Diablo) Never let your Industry power idle for several minutes just to drop it on a level 1 newly built furnace of your own when your ally has level 2 furnaces and an untouched base for you to drop it on.
