Starting positions:
Elves/[BGS]Fury/Team1 - West
Elves/EaE|JiGsoRe/Team2 - East

Overview:

This game was – quite literally – a mirror game where Elves faced Elves. Both players started of with a double mallorn and than horses. There the strategies of both players splitted up as Fury choose for some fast pike support while Duality got on with Lancers. In this early game stage both players also managed to destroy each others economy very effectively. In this game not Fury nor JigSore managed to get more than 425 command points, which means they never had more than 4 Mallorns at a time due to excellent harassment and speed in the game. This was truly one of the most action-packed games that I’ve ever seen, even without being a long game.

Elves/[BGS]Fury/Team1

BO: Mallorn -> Mallorn -> Green Pasture -> Rivendell Lancers -> Barracks
PP Path: Rallying Call -> Rain of Arrows -> Summon Eagles

Marvelous play on your side. Excellent harassment was combined with quickly rebuilding your Mallorn Trees as good as it could be done. You kept him under constant pressure and he never had more than 3 mallorns at a time. You also creeped some lairs for some extra money in this circumstances which seemed a good move for some more Powerpoints and extra gold. The only 2 things I can remark is that you should have re-expanded in the first game stage like u did later. There u had about 700 resources which u decided to use all for extra units while you could have used a part to re-expand at least. Secondly you wasted arrow rain once because his units were running. Make sure they are battling or something but if they run there’s a much bigger chance that they can get through without much harm.
    Tips for improvement
  • Try to re-expand your amount of RB’s faster as you had a few occasions to do so while you didn’t.
  • Make sure the enemy units aren’t moving when you use your rain of arrows.

Elves/EaE|JiGsoRe/Team2

BO: Mallorn -> Mallorn -> Green Pasture -> Rivendell Lancers -> Mallorn
PP Path: Rallying call -> Rain of arrows -> Summon Eagles

Also a very good game from your side. You harassed just as hard as he harassed you and that made the game go even for quite some time. You also made only a few little mistakes, however they had some consequences in later game. First, don’t leave your builder near a newly built structure as he is quite vulnerable there. Instead put him back in your base camp or at least move him away from that position because RB’s are the first place where enemy units will pass by. Secondly don’t rally a unit that is almost dead because you did it on your horses and it had no single effect because their health was already so low that they were killed after one blow. Thirdly creep some lairs like your opponent because you’ll get some extra money out of it which can prove useful. Last, don’t loose your Glorfindel by trying to lure your enemy to somewhere. It almost always fails and in your case you lost your last chance to turn the tide in your favour again. Further this was also a very nice game from you.
    Tips for improvement
  • Don’t leave your builder near a built mallorn where it’s vulnerable.
  • Don’t rally a unit that is already almost death
  • Also try to creep some lairs, like your opponent.
  • Don’t risk Glorfindel like you did.

No but I'm unsure about the protocol in any way it's Contender when it's 7, there has to be voted I think but first I'll inform our SRR Juan about this replay.

Well I got a few opinions about this replay of other RR's and most say it's justifiable to make it silver, and the opinions about promoting it are not all the same, but I've decided to make it silver nonetheless because it was a very good game. On one point one of my collegues is right though that Duality lost his Glorf stupidly however I've decided to see that as a rare mistake in a very good game. So silver it is.
