Starting positions:
Angmar/JR|JuanRing - West
Goblins/[BGS]Fury - East


Overview:

A really nice game, showing great skill at the game on both sides and some really nice micromanagement as well. JuanRing chose for the usual Gundabad start and Fury for a Goblin spam, both strategies performed excellently. The superior Gundabads were quite hard to manage for Fury at first, but after a while the game evened out and it went back and forth. Spider Riders made all the difference in this game, especially when upgraded kicked in as Fury showed how very effective harassing is by destroying 4-5 Mills per raid. Juan had great difficulty countering these Spider Riders as Fury didn't stay for tea after destroying yet another Mill. Eventually Angmar was subdued due to the lack of resources and although Juan defended excellently, there was no hope in it really and his Fort went down eventually.


Angmar/JR|JuanRing

Very well played by you, as usual, but there were a few small mistakes that cost you the game though. Firstly, use Gundabads in battle stance vs Goblins in aggressive as it's a one-hit kill then. Secondly, avoid facing clumped Goblins in a tunnel, they're highly powerful as all of them can attack a singular unit at once, instantly killing the Thrall Master and thus the horde if they target him. Thirdly, you only used Sorcerers once, protect them with a couple of pikes and use them to consistently turn his army into Wights, buff your own units and debuff his with Fell Strength, etc. Fourth, you had way too much PP at one point, about 23 when you didn't even have a tier 3 power. You could have gone for Wights a lot earlier. Fifth, your greatest problem in this game was probably the Spider Rider harassment, set up a few pikes at the outer Mills to offer you at least a bit of defense and get the Witch-King to kill them, he's about the only counter you have.

    Tips for improvement
  • Use Gundabads in F against Goblins in D.
  • Avoid facing clumped Goblins in tunnels.
  • Use Sorcerers more, they're quite powerful and can really own his armies fast.
  • Try not to PP float, the sooner you get your powers, the better really.
  • Get the WK to counter the Spider Rider harassment.


Goblins/[BGS]Fury

Extremely well played by you, your Spider Rider harassment was sublime honestly. There are just a few things I'd like to point out. First of all, level your Caves one by one so they are a more durable and produce Goblins faster too. Secondly, you should get Spiderling expansions as early as possible to defend your Caves from being destroyed. Thirdly, creep for PP, Juan was way ahead of you in PP even though you won at least as many battles as he did. Fourth, remember the Goblin horde bonus, when you have 5 Goblins, get 6 instead as if you lose one single Goblin, you lose the bonus.

    Tips for improvement
  • Level your Caves one by one.
  • Get Spiderling expansions as early as possible.
  • Creep for PP so you don't fall behind on getting the powerful spells.
  • Remember the Goblin horde bonus, it makes them extremely fast and a lot more powerful too.

u think angmar is in advantage vs goblins mario ???

if u dont think this is an fair mu, i would say goblins have an advantage in this mu

if angmar cant destroy a cave early game,they will have a hard time vs goblin spam...(like most other races)

4 cave spam and maybe riders or azog >>> angmar in my opinion
(if i had to chose which side in this mu,i prefer goblins...but could be that it is just that i can play gobs better than angmar)

Thanks for the comments guys, WenSon in my opinion i think angmar have a slight advantage early game because gundbads are stronger than goblins when not fighting under crows also they have the ability to go for cavalry and mass them to stop my spam but to be fair i have to say i did have a slight better mu but still,Juan played an amazing angmar GG! biggrin.gif

Not true. I played some games vs him and wasnt special rosas got better angmar in my opinion. Juan got a really awesome isengard. I think is his speciallity
