Mondragon Interview

By Mokon - 1st March 2008 - 21:46 PM

GameReplays: Hello Mondragon, thanks for taking the time to talk with us here at Game Replays. Why don't you start by telling us a little bit about yourself and your gaming career?

Mondragon: Hi Guys, my name is Christoph Semke, I'm 21 years old and living in Germany. I started my 'career' (if you want to call it like that) at the end of the year 1999 (I was 13 back there ) and continued playing BroodWar until now since it is the most balanced and exciting game that has ever been created. Except of two short periods in two other clans I was ToT and I don't intend to change the team

GameReplays: What was it that originally made you get into professional e-Sports? Was it simply you found out that you were good and one thing lead to another, or did you really focus on constantly improving your game?

Mondragon: I've never thought to become a 'progamer' or some professional gamer who earns some money by playing this game. I just played it for fun and kept improving and some day I found out that I can compete with the best of Germany, then it extended to a European base, and some time later, I've played gamers all around the world. I was not focused to get good in the game at all, as I mentioned before, it was pure fun, but from fun comes improvement, and with improvement comes success. As long as I have fun with the game it's fine for me, but trying to be successful without having fun does not work.
