This is my first upload on gamereplays and would be nice to get a review. I lost 3 games in a row vs Scaffy today but i felt like i was close to beat him every time this game is nice but i didint use all opportunities i had to finish him off early wacko.gif
Scaffy recovered very well and his support commander use was devastating

That was a very close, intense game all the way through- although I noticed a few glaring mistakes regarding the usage of siege bots.

Well played all around.

Things that led to your victory:

-Effective use of defense and shield generators to buy you time.
-Nice use of heavy artillery to decimate his units and defensive lines.
-Teching up to support commanders.

Things the opponent probably could have done to defeat you:

-Exploit the non-defended northern approach to your base. Once he discovered that he should have re-routed all his forces up there for a quick strike that would have at least taken out large amounts of your power and other buildings.
-He didn't invest enough in heavy artillery when he started making it to siege you from the south, and he didn't properly protect the few he built. Had he employed a combined arms approach of harbs and heavy artillery at the southern flank he could have broken through your defensive line.
-He almost won by sniping the commander you left at the front line of your defense.

Overall a very fun and close game, but it fits a pattern I often see among replays posted here - You've got the guy who takes map control early and pushes with a relentless offense, but when the opponent turtles in and techs up the aggressor is ultimately defeated because he does not adapt his linear tactics. The aggressor is ultimately wasting a lot of resources trying to brute force his way to victory when those resources would have been better spent consolidating his gains with defenses and using his superior economy to out tech the opponent and proceed with a combined arms offensive.

8/10
A skillful match up with lots of entertainment, but in the end Sir_Loui floundered on his long term strategic planning, whereas CoW_Scaffy played the game like a chess match with an eye towards eventually overtaking Sir-Loui's early advantages.

There was a point where loui has 5 or 6 t3 bots above scaffys base but did nothing with them until scaffy started sending his own t3 bots up.

That was the moment where you could of had the game, if you had of sent them down they would of decimated all his power plants and his econ would of completely stalled.

omg that game shouldnt have lasted more than 17 minutes... loui couldve finished scaffy 50 different ways but didnt. i stopped watching after 20 minutes cus i just couldnt stand to see yall dance around anymore

nice TML location scaffy, however, you built 3 missiles and completely tanked your economy and your army. and then to top it off. you shot all 3 missiles at his t3 factory which was surrounded by engineers when you had 3 t3 mexes with storage in range... like 70 percent of his mass income was in your sights and you shot his factory which never went below 60 percent hp

you also let all thsoe interceptors sit around while loui bombed your troops into oblivion.

both sides had early game idle commanders often and only offensive comm was loui's up the left side but he shortly was pushed back by scaffy

a good game but nowhere near an 8/10

8 means it was an insanely wonderfully played game with clever strategies and the works. this game was not that smile.gif

i give it a 5/10

guys... i have now watched the replay and i totally agree with u that think i played bad... basic u have a point there but i dont think the replay sucked, it was more like my play after that i had got a big advantage sucked hard. I underestimated his combination of PDs and shields and thought i could take em by a massive harbinger force. I didnt think of building support commanders. but hey! this is why i love this game, its always much to learn and even thou i played crap im happy biggrin.gif I look forward to develoup my gamestrategy and play a lot better tongue.gif

I felt that Loui's early reclaiming was very good; he had 4 engineers reclaiming a fuckload of trees. This allowed him to tech his mexxes early, thereby giving him a huge early advantage. imhao it was over when Scaffy sniped two of his T-3 mexxes.
