My opponent had an interesting strat (for early game at least). What do you make of it? It seemed lazy, yet effective.

What do you mean by interesting strat? The T1 LF construction? That sure was weird. The amount of LF's was unnecessarily large and he would've achieved better results by building something like 5 LF's and assisting them with engies. Maybe he would've get T2 LF up more faster without building those LF's. I think nonzero lost this game because of slow teching up. He managed to keep up a bit longer than I thought with that aggressive harassing. I think both of you made too few engineers. They're cheap and you can easily switch the target of your mass flow by selecting the assisted factory.

And some stuff about your playing:
- The very first raids you make should be babysitted carefully. Now one of your squads got wiped out by nonzero's ACU. These units could've done much more damage if you would have avoided that ACU with minimal losses.
- Build more engineers. This is how you can avoid wasting mass which happened in the middle part of the match.
- When you have T2 factories up don't assist T1 factories with your engineers. You want to get as many T2 tanks/MML's to the field ASAP so assist that T2 LF and put your mass to T2 tanks.
- Concentrate on building one thing at a time. This is crucial when getting T2 power up. Put your T2 engineers to build at least 6-8 T2 PG's and assist them with your ACU/T1 engineers. This way you get your eco built up much faster. When T2 PG's are in construction you should also put several T1 engineers to build mass fabs. Building T2 power and mass fabs is much more efficient than upgrading mexes from T1 to T2. That is why you should upgrade those mexes only when you don't have any idle engineers/factories.

I hope this helps smile.gif

My opponent lost because he wanted to pump out T3 gunships and he didn't have the economy to support it. As soon as I spotted his gunship mass, I immediately went mass interceptors.

And yeah, I really needed more engineers. I eventually had one of my front line factories pumping out a mass of them.
