Hey esh, you pulled a fabtard mid game. ; ) Built 3 mass fabs with your comm instead of PGens in the middle when you were -120 energy already. : P And you didn't turn em' off either. *lol*

I couldn't figure where the hell all my energy is. LOL
and I was actually looking for some fabricators I might have built by a mistake

oh well, guess that tranport harass is less dangerous than I thought than.

nice comeback despite the circumstances. hilarious that the massfabs didn't hurt you enough to slow you down. obviously if you had the energy you could've reclaimed more metal from the dead civvy stuff too, since you had control of that.

obviously I'm nowhere near as good as you are, but I'll give my thoughts anyway:

iirc you had posted about the scoreboard reading to know if they went air, right? were you reading it that time or not? obviously that'd make it quicker to get AA up.

I've noticed lots of top players almost never use ground AA in early game. not suggesting you build turrets, but a single t1 AA bot is quite cheap and doesn't include the overhead of building an air fac first.

again, feel strange questioning a top player but... I personally always feel a bit intimidated to start with engineers on really small maps. it's pretty damn quick to pump out a few scouts + light bots before engineers. even 1 vs 2 would've made some difference, I think.

and his commitment to air of course opened up more ground assault, he had an initial lag because of the investment. if you wanted to you could've gone with the interceptor as planned but then put pressure on his expanding engineers + mexes because of it, since you'll have more ground.

if any of that doesn't make sense/wouldn't work, let me know, mostly for my own sake :)

and if you're feeling particularly generous I'd love it if a player like you could look at my recent replay I posted here. don't feel obligated though :)

If you look from my view at the game you can see how bad I stalled on energy in this game most of the game. It did slow me down quite badly.

Aeon mobile AA is good to take down planes as much as scouts are good to take down experimentals biggrin.gif

Building bots and scouts before engineers can give you a nice advantage but is can be useless sometimes. I don't like to slow down my early economy so I just build a single scout and a bot in most game..
