yes i was a little too defensive and i made some other small mistakes(not sending scu to fight) but i was very stressed and i didnt think like normal human
Your a great cybran player to watch, only things I saw that might have changed the game was to position those t2 turrents you made so they would protect your engies that were assisting your factory. Biggest thing tho, a few t1 gunships really woulda put him on the back foot at the start since your had air dominance, it woulda enabled you to take the map and not give it back. A radar woulda been nice too.
Really good replay. Like others have said, if you gotten some T1 gunships out there, you could've pushed him back easily. Besides that, and not pulling your commander back, that was a good rep.
I didn't see any overt mistakes in the whole game, but my money on who was going to win was on thelittleone for most of the game. The reason being that for some reason you just weren't producing as many units as he was, and you were slower to get started on the mass unit production. I'm not sure why this happened, with your economies being even. But he was able to push you back early and keep you struggling to defend.
The only major difference in tactics I saw that probably allowed thelittleone to pull ahead in the ground war was when he used his commander to lead the attack on the left side, resulting in a very lopsided tactical victory in his favor. In contrast, you kept your commander out of the action for the most part. This could have been the decisive moment in the early ground war.
In hindsight one answer might have been to turtle up a bit on both sides with PDs and dragons teeth to halt the T1 unit swarms, as a way to augment the staying power of your lesser ground forces. If he kept throwing himself at your defensive lines at that point you'd have the advantage in time and resources to tech up to T3. At the time it probably looked like you could win on the ground war with just a bit more time, but it was clear to me on the replay that wasn't going to happen if things kept going the way they were.
T1 bombers were of no use to you that match, but T2 gunships could have been fairly decisive in buying you time and giving you a chance to go back on the offense.
Overall: 7/10. Both sides were playing strong, knew what they were doing, and made almost no mistakes aside from the ones that are noticed in hindsight. It doesn't rank higher IMO because it's a fairly straitforward match with nothing interesting in the way of tactics or strategy, and not very entertaining because the match plays out exactly as one would expect (no comeback by matiz).
