Hey all,

Adlermann and I got matched against Eshez and Mentel for the second time in arranged team. The first time I chased Eshez's comm and we both blew, then mentel steadily killed adlermann so we lost. This time the game is somewhat closer, but holding up against hardcore t1 unit spam is hard when you are trying to build an economy :-)

Oh and by the way, near the end of the game, watch my transport in the north. It tips over and drops my engie and my deceiver to the ground, killing them both. So much for a last chance :-(

If any reviewer is interested I'd like a review of this game to see what we did wrong.

Cheers!

Open Palms - Mentel (Red) & Eshez (Blue) vs Adlermann (Green) & Rienzilla (Yellow)

Here we have a ranked 2v2 match with the current top spot holders starting in the north and 8th place peeps starting in the south. As this is up to a six player map that means there are two 'spare' start spots and Mentel and Eshez jump on these very early in the game, giving them a big eco boost for the T1 spam. Rien and Adler are both steadily pushed backwards by the approaching armies, and Rien particularly struggling as he has far fewer T1 factories than the others. A quick rush to T2 though and Adler catches Eshez by surprise with a couple of tac missiles. Unfortunately at this point Adlerman is all but finished leaving a 1v1 vs Mentel. Mentel has expanded much better and has a vastly superior economy so its soon over.

Mentel - North

+ Very strong economy.
+ Good use of commander to push Reinzilla back.
+ Good expansion into the space eshez left when he died.
+ Nice mix of units to smash bases apart

- Heavy on the conns early on.. risky as a strong raid would of left you quite far behind.

Eshez - North

+ Aggressive use of commander
+ Constant raiding and harassment pinned Adlerman in.
+ Strong eco throughout

- You landed a scout next to the tac missile launcher about 15 seconds before it killed you.

Reinzilla - South

+ Good start build and upgrade of Mex
+ Realised you were in trouble and adapted your strat which killed Eshez

- Not enough T1 spam.
- No use of commander to push forwards.
- With the exception of the group that went over the middle your harassing was very lacklustre.

Adlermann - South

+ Good start and aggression towards Mentel
+ Aggressive comm mixed in with units to defend against Mentels T1 spam.

- More T1 spam required.. you did a good job but he just out produced you.

Summary

An entertaining game to watch and a good lesson in T1 spamming from mentel. Eshez was all over Rienzilla but took his eye off the ball and paid for it. Mentel was far too strong at this point though. Deffo worth a watch!

Score 6/10
