I wasnt expecting comments, thanks guys. On the to the topic:

- SCU / reclaiming
You are definitly right. I never thought about that for even a moment. Big mistake, agreed.
- T3 Arty: If you look, the first one was connected to two T3 pgens. By the time the second was one ready, you can easily notice how the first one (wired up with more power) is recharging faster. I think this is worth mentioning.
- Mass deficit: Yes, i ordered so many engineers to "force" the gross of my mass income into the T3 arty, instead of splitting it between SCUs and T3 Bots.
- T2 vs T3 AA. Well im not entirely sure, but i think T2 is better than T3. Firstly, this is because the projectiles of T2 are faster than T3 and i imagine is IT possible that a T3 bomber might get a salvo down if only attacked by T3 PD.
I prefer T2 because it has splash damage and is faster. If you see how fast his lot of aircrafts heading for my Support Gates were downed you will also notice that especially his guships were stashed together, making them perfectly vulnerable to T2 AA because of its AoE.
However, i could be wrong.
- Circling, yes, probably right, circling to the AA would have been better, however i was pretty nervous ESPECIALLY considering 2-3 times my commi stopped circling because there was something to reclaim and i accidently ordered him to reclaim instead of move (i always use rightclick instead of "M"-Order.
- Experimentals...Have to admit i didnt think about them that much as well. When i saw his fortress of 3 rows depths Oblivion guns (~ 50 in total ?) i thought breaking them the hard way would be pretty much impossible.
Now if i think about it, the Monkeylord is a big target with 65k HP, those Oblivion cannons would have owned him, or even 2-3 i believe.

Thanks for spending so much time commenting and especially watching the rep. Hope i was able to shed some light to my choices.

I did a little sandboxing and found that there is no difference between an arty firing on its own and one beeing hooked up to four T3 powergens. They both fire at the exact same speed, and use the same amount of energy to recharge. So I would have to say that there is no difference in building that thing next to T3 powergens. Although, I did notice some T2 arty firing maybe 2% faster than one not being supported by powergens. IMO the difference isn't worth mentioning (for t2, in t3 there is nothing to mention!)

well geee wiz im gonna have to side with kormi on this one .. if u wantd to put 95% of your mass into one thing turn off the other 5% reclaim some labs reclaim rocks wreks with the SPARE engineers that dont need to be foring % of mass wastfully into that.. u might as well make 3 fusions and 3 more fabs first THEN go build if yer gonna use that many engineer its prolly gonne be faster neways over time

Wow, you were right. I just tried it. Thats obviously a bug, because even though absolutly NO bonus is given, the adjacency bonus energy lines show up, wether it be T1, T2 or T3 plants. I have submitted a bug report for energy adjacency bonus to T3 arty.

Well ya, that is more efficient, but only if you had the option to pause the game, to make all factories, upgrading mexes, engeniers that are assistnig or building stop! It's just to much micro! Besides if you stop some production, it's a safe bet that you are going to forget about it, when you are distracted with something else!

But it's also good to say that if you want to spend 4 times the mass, that what you make, it's better to make some of those engies go do something else (reclaim, upgrade mex) before the crisis completely stalls you!

hi again smile.gif

interesting about the t2 aa, going to have to try that out to see how different they are.

regarding punching through the defenses: yeah, probably would've been a lot for monkeylords to do alone but there still could've been other ways to go about it imho.

mobile t3 artil could've cleared some of it out. and with the SACUs in the field you could've erected some quick stuff to knock them / give you a bit of an advantage. even strat bombers could've put big dents in it on suicide runs once he was boxed in. cybran bombers + tightly packed enemy units = <3

hey dude, nice meeting you yet again today wink.gif
You are probably right with what you are saying, however, i have fallen in love with this game and its beautiful ending. I enjoy watching T3 arty blasting enemy commanders biggrin.gif
