Alright, this is a pretty crazy game. I messed up early game (second 1v1 since retail, and first one against a good player) and he got absolute complete map control. Instead of giving up, I decided to prove a point i've been trying to make... That defenses (mainly Aeon ones) are insanely overpowered. At the end of the game, I had 2500 kills (including a fatboy), despite the fact that he had 5x more mass than me, and complete map dominance. There was a field of titan wrecks you could walk across- I used the money to rebuild my base and economy after heavy duke shelling multiple times. Finally, I broke to a fatboy that took down most of my shields, and before I could repair he rushed me.
In conclusion, shields + walls + fuckton of guns = OP. I lost, but I held out for infinitely longer than I should have been able to. Please note, if he had given up and spammed a crapton of broadswords, I would have lost. There were a lot of strategic mistakes in this game (especially on my side, like i said, first challenging 1v1 in almost a month), but it was sure entertaining.
EDIT: Crap, I forgot to put the version in the title. If somebody with mod powers in this forum would put it in the title, it'd be greatly appreciated. Latest version, obviously.

I was thinking of going around it with air drops and such, but I decided to see if you could crack it from the front, eventually I did but it was very difficult though, t3 arty helped a bit.
I was careless with that fatboy though.
Its rather impressive how t2 aeon PD dominates T3 siege bots though. I only wish the Triad was partially as useful.
We had some good fun taunting each other at the start of the game though .

Haha yeah those video taunts are hilarious!
I was heavily microing my oblivion cannons. I would identify chokepoints and unit clusters on the fly and manual fire to get maximum kills- when micro'ed properly those things RAPE anything. I got a laugh out of my t2 arty killing your fatboy, too.

Not only that you quickly rebuilt those powerful t2 shields with 4 t2 engies almost instantly. Its insane how fast you rebuilt them.
I think defenses should be overpowered considering how simple it is to go around them. If they couldnt even hold the ground your built them on against a large amount of land forces, what would be the point of building them?
Wow that was an insane game. DeadLegion, your build order the first 10 minutes of the game has made me realized how completely wrong I approach UEF. Beginning of the game was really something to see.
But OMG, those shield defenses were a real PITA to take down. I think you would have won it earlier had you focused your Artillery on a single side taking down the shields and then came in to hit the PD. You gave him enough time to build up his Art and counter your Artillery nest on the hill.
TNT, I really liked your secret missile base you were pushing for later in the game, and your micro skills on that defensive line really gave you an edge. But he outpaced you so hardcore the first 10 minutes of the game that I'm speechless. Here I thought UEF was a real PITA to put units on the map. I feel like such a nub.
I highly recommend this demo for the UEF build alone, but it was fun to watch DL smash through that defensive line.
