Supreme Commander

Howdy,

I only just recently started playing supcom online.

This is the first time playing this map, so excuse any map specific mistakes.

It was an actual fun match because Sarge was a good player. His mass strykers really did a pounding a few times.

I think one thing I should've done is screwed the tech tree and went mass air.

Please give some advice on how to make my cybran better.

From what I could tell, you were doing better economically than him for the entire game. The one part where you had a stall was at the beginning when you built an extra factory without any extra mass. You also used those little cloak boats to run around, but didn't use their cloaking ability it seems, could you have possibly used something cheaper since you didn't use the cloak ability. I would also point out that you spammed a lot of those heavy assault bots, and even used them to attack the commander. Alone this wasn't a wise choice because those units by themselves are to weak to take on a commander head on so you lost a lot there. When you did the north attacks you should've had them attack his power or just pullback and find a weaker spot to exploit. Besides that I don't see anything wrong with what you did, it just seems that he ended up spamming the tanks a bit better than you. Also you threw a lot of your planes into the grinder while he had all those Anti Air tanks roaming around.

Sarge, your opening base sequence was pretty good, but you had a set of factories unattached to any power generators. Another fault that you had was the lack of reclaiming the metal that you had loss. After you lost it, you seemed to have pretty good control of those areas once you cleared out DPT's forces so you could have easily re-builded. There were a lots points where your commander was idle. How come so much anti-air spam, I think between 5-7 anti air would've served you well. You did a pretty decent job of utilizing the terrain to your benefit allowing for some shots to miss during the battles.

Well I'm not an official replay reviewer since I just got the game, but I figured it'd be good for me to throw up some literature!

I give this replay a Fair rating, much of the units used were the same, but there was good battle for control of different pieces of land with resources.

King, those little cloak boats have radar. Their cloak only works against radar, and Sarge didn't build any. It would've been a waste of energy to turn them on.

But overall good review and great picture!

Here's two cool things you can do with supcom for pics:

press ALT + F to automatically take a pic
press alt + up or down arrows keys to change your UI. I currently got mine as minimalist. Works waaay better than default one.

Btw, anyone else is welcome to give me advice too.

Sweet, I've been trying to find out where to do the minimalist UI for the longest.

I would take pics with supcom , but they don't automatically convert them to jpeg, in a nice file size, nice image dimensions, and upload them to internet:).

in fact..the mole's have an optical cloak, not a stealth cloak. they are invisible to optical sensors (minus omni) when their cloak is active. they are always visible to radar.

Ahh, I didn't know that. Man does this game has alot of depth.
