This weeks RoTW is between Prepare and Gnug315!! A fantastic game, Aeon vs UEF. This game was promoted to GOLD replay this week, this replay is really educational towards supcom, showing how much really is still undiscovered about the game! Played on FinnsRevenge.

This is a good replay simply because it outlines an entirely new strategy that would in fact worked had it not been for Prepare's Commander with the Tactical Missile Launcher. The combination of aggressive Commander, defensive Aeon play + navy tech is something relatively new.

hardly a balance problem. Using the commander that offensively is a massive risk if your enemy has significant ground forces. The person on defense can attempt to overdrive your commander and kill him.

At least against an offensive opponent it is much harder for the tactical missiles to hit anything but stationary targets. When you turtle up like that so you can go fast sea, those missiles just tore apart the t1 turrets that were stopping prepare from moving his units in. Against cybran gnugs strategy would have probably worked just fine, but prepare basically has a cheap t2 missle launcher he can slap on his commanders back.

I do wonder if t2 missile defense can shoot down a UEF coms tac missiles.
