Entertaining game and thoroughly enjoyed it - Even to the point of getting me to register rather then just lurk around GR smile.gif

Your opponent had a stronger economy for the later stages of the game, had your naval force locked-down and threw a few waves of mercs at you and you still pulled through. Good stuff.

Wubbed

needless to say but great game w/ high skill levels by both players. wubbed for showing us how to deal w/ mercies. the only mistake i noticed from petraque was the switch from subs to t2 ships. against mercies, i think t2 ships are nearly worthless. you also needed subs to ensure that your com is safe in the water.

I'm getting more and more won over why Petraque's play style with each match and I hope more of these matches are posted.

Hopefully a fight between him and Sir Loui possibly...

Overall, the game was over the top, Mercy Spam, Sub Spam, Simultaneous attacks on both sides of each players base. The game was back and forth for 50+ minutes and each was on the edge of your seat.

Interesting game and definitly enjoyable. However, some major mistakes in my opinion. Like sending 5 mercies against a single t2 powerplant when a scout would have shown the defending shield was almost down.
Same goes for the horrible offense by luther. Running his army along both flanks only to force a full counterattack into his undefended eco...omg.

Then, luther was wasting SO DAMN MUCH mass, hardly believeable.
Worse, he used his t3 battleships to defend himself from titans, when all was lost anyway. He should have gone straight to petraque`s eco instead of wasting minutes defending himself.
As well, he build t2 destroyer after t2 destroyer even though gunships were killing them....man.

Truth be told though, he was was pretty unlucky as well.
I remember how his first t2 destroyer got stuck at the beach and was killed by titans.
And how he moved beneath the t3 shield only to be killed 0.0001 seconds before his destroyer could fire and take down the t3 shield.

I was so fking enjoyed how petraque layered a shield into the water to construct t2 torp.
GORGEOUS:::

Wow. What has the world come to if an excellent replay like this gets only 3 comments ? If there is any proof that SupCom is starving, its the fact that people dont comment on good replays.

Thats my smurf tongue.gif

I really lost my interest when the game went so late and just spammed mercys.
But well played Petra with nice use of transports, and like Sion said shields + torpedo launchers.

Very nice game! Maybe the reason for not many comments is, what is there to say? tongue.gif
Nice win by a margin! Clearly shows me, to becoming anything nearly as good as this, scout+strategy is ALL! Petra really shows off his skills in adopting new strategies for the enemy tactics, adopting quickly!
I might be a noob, but wouldn't it be better for Lex to build some gunships vs. that horde of Titans, instead of focusing so much on sea?

I don't mean to sound disrespectful but this game (mostly lexluthor) was riddled with amateur mistakes from huge mass wastage to complete lack of any micro that looked like lex just went afk for 3 minutes during some battles. For example when petraque pushed up the right hand side of lex's base he just let his units stand still in addition to those listed above espcially the WTF of sending mass destroyers to the slaughter where 1-2 cruisers would have dominated the air force.

I'm a warcraft 3 player and that game has been around for longer so as a whole it has matured more and less mistakes are made, so I guess in a way supcom is a young game and mistakes like that don't seem important to most people.
