So you pause all the mex that you upgrade and finish it with engineers and never unpause it to actully finish the upgrade?
Great way to waste your mass, never though about it before
Edit: Now that I look closly, it seems like you do get the additional mass once the upgrade hits 100% but it doesnt shows it on the extractor itself. why do you do it anywaY? It doesn't save resources.

I do that to .. he does it because then u can start all your mex and pause all your mex and tell some engineer to go around upgrading one at a time that way u dont have to go back each tinmeone is done to start a new one because the engineers upgrade it for u

well even if u dont do one after the other .. if u just start and pause them all when u have spare time then u dont have to click the box later its just a hotkey or tell engines to go...
its cheaper too and easier to upgrade as t1 engie uses less energy and mass to upgrade althou its slower then leting mex upgrade itself it is better and cheaper u stillget mass once engies upgrade the mex thou i cant be bothered unpausing it also serves other purpose of letting me know which other mexes i need to upgrade in that way.
one major issue is u need engies to do this thus a fac may be neededto spam engies thus it sets back in millitary terms.
undoubtly one of my best manouvers ever as well i never thought it actualy work.
