I like to come up with exuses for my losses, but oh well, I'll spare them this time, I guess funkoff played a gg, should have cracked me earlier tho.

I still wonder what I missed in that early game that cost me like the whole damn map, maybe I should just give this a watch. If anyone has a clue, inlighten me biggrin.gif edit: seems like my early game was just crap ohmy.gif, maybe its because i've played this map once before this tourny(exuse #1).

I seem to been lossing more on tournies than on casual games, do people just play better or am I getting anxious and play worse? or is it both? biggrin.gif

well played Funkass

Cool game. However, im wondering why people still decide on oblivions instead of t1 PD when on the defensive. Those early Oblivions were okay since they had an offensive purpose as well, but the shitload of oblivions defending FunkOffs main and expansion were just terrible. Most of those guns had not even 3 kills.

Aeon T1 >>> Aeon T2 pd.

Plus the gunship thingy was kind of funny tongue.gif

btw. Aeon T2 cruisers = no anti-ground weaponry ? You should have ordered your cruiser right to Eshez base to take out the unshielded stuff.

Sure. However, you get about 2 Erupters for the price/time of 1 Oblivion. While the Oblivion has just technicly a small advantage regarding its dps (~10%) and range, the Eruptors will easily make up for that with their currency, vastly out-performing Oblivions.
Because unlike Oblivions, Eruptors are like guaranteed to hit. Oblivions range advantage is neglected on this map, because their longer range doesnt guarantee a hit, and since Harbingers dont outrange Eruptors either, Erupters are the way to go.

Im positive that, instead of using those 5 Oblivions near your main base, 10 Eruptors would have stopped his assault in seconds. He would have been unable to get 4-5 Harbingers behind your defenses at all.

Even if you consider a wall ob Oblivions as deterrence (which it is not for me!), a wall of Eruptors is even better at doing so.
How many of those Oblivions even scored a hit ? Almost all shots were wasted without any doubt. The few kills those Oblivions had were probably T1 units. Worse happened with your secondary wall (shielded). They almost blew up your own stuff when those harbingers were running around them.

You can of course use Oblivions all the day, but if you dont utilize them for offensive, the Eruptor is without a question the better choice.
Of course that only own opinion.
