Tbh, I think the only unbalanced thing is the support commanders, you were only killing them once you got the fatboy and they were standing in a pack next to an exploding fusion reactor... But they are a love hate thing
I don't know, I had 8 artillery all firing in sink and I was barely able to destroyer the weakest of his shields.
And yeah, cybran's are the weakest shields in the game... and they took a whole fatboy to breach, that's insane.
When your T2 Arty focused fire, it brought the shields down quickly. When they just fired on their own, each round his a different shield, pretty much draining that shield significantly or completely.
I don't know. But I think what I would have tried is getting a lot of constructors over to the front and building 20-30 (or more if needed) klink hammers. Even if he built the shields to counter it, it would quickly stress his energy economy. With a lot of constructors the arty would build fast and put less stress on your economy.
Scathis may seem nice, but it is very much an inefficient weapon. The fatboy fires almost as fast, has more damage, and soo much more accuracy, and a lot of hit points to boot.
Just thinking that perhaps instead of a nuke, one could go with a Mavor. I recall in the patch notes the price was reduced, so perhaps that could be a way to go.

In this game, T3 bombers would have worked wonders taking down shields. T2 arty can then spam the uncovered areas.
I would expect layered shields to be powerful because they take a long time and alot of investment to build. They are also more fragile than a house of cards, so it takes almost nothing to destroy them when they are unprotected.
