so id just watched the streiko vs funkoff replay and thought streikos BO looked like fun! it just so happens that my first game afterwards is against bluescreen on roanoke, what the hell i think, so i impliment a revised version of the early air build and go for it, i micro my bombers over his factories instead of going for his energy as my strategy is to keep them alive as long as possible = more damage dealt, he spams away with T1 mobile AA which mostly gets owned by the factory bombing, meanwhile hes desperately trying to get some t1 aa up and also building attack boats, but the end is inevitable.
not a pro played game but i wanna show new tactics ARE viable!
That's really my biggest fear as Aeon. Cybran mobile T1 aa rocks hard, If you get rushed by air you just set all ur factories to build AA and ur fine. With aeon, all you can do is build interceptors, and if the opponent has done that before you, you'r in trouble.
well aeon t1 aa (stationary) was just buffed considerably last patch its now very good against t1 bombers, but mhmm i think 2 up in advance would stop 5 ish bombers especially if they start circling close to one of them, although 6 bombers could 1-pass each AA and then its gg.
anywho you can easily use a scout to find out if theres an early air factory
What if ur opponent rush some bombers on a 10x10 or bigger land map? I dont mean build them right on the get go, but after a few short minutes, before you bulid ur own air factory.. before you even notice ur eazly pushing on land you can have 6 or more bombers all over ya..
I dont think that will work Eshez. If your enemy has lets say 3 land factory and you have 3 he will easily outgun you. Of course you can use your commi to defend yourself, but your enemy should claim the map and get eco advantage. And a single Interceptor will kill a horde of bombers. Plus a bomber takes like 50 seconds to build..
sion ... the strategy ofcourse involves guarding your bombers with a few ceptors.....and assisting the building of the bombers as even streikoman demonstrated
However, it seems to be a largely "one or the other" type strat.
By that I mean, either you sort of have to dedicate your entire effort to air in the beginning, or it won't work nearly as well. I tried it out a bit myself.
