Replays: 10 Game:
IGoGreek is ranked in the top 150, which I could tell right away, so this was definitely a fierce fight. I had some troble in the beginning, but I was able to remedy that and get on track to start making some good moves. I knew that he would probably go for an aurora rush, but he ended up waiting too long to do it and I saw it coming once it left his main island. This was a fairly long game, but very interesting. Nothing spectacularly strategic, just well played by both sides. I think I could have been much more effective had I handled my econ better - that was my weakness. I'll let the replay speak for itself. A review would be appreciate for sure smile.gif and comments and critiqueing are quite welcome smile.gif.

Game Summary:
The game starts a bit slow with both players being reluctant to expand, Geek commwalking to another isle and capturing it, while Strages uses engineers to get both isles a little later. Follows lots of waiting with minor action while Strages gets alot of interceptors and subs + destroyers, upgrading MEXes not stalling or excessing on mass at all. In contrast Geek does a little of everything: auroras, subs, frigates, a few bombers and a few interceptors after upgrading 1 MEX to T3 he starts excesing quite some mass.
Strages decided to end it and attacks Geek's main isle with all his destroyer, subs, cruisers, gunships and interceptors. whistling.gif

Strages

+ A bit slow start but decent economy later on, quite good with little mass excess smile.gif
+ Used sea properly: not many frigates but tons of subs
+ Bombed those incoming auroras well
- More auroras would have helped getting his isles
- Interceptors in patrol, most had no fuel meaning they had the turning rate of an ocean liner, useless in battles
- Some subs were surfaced by mistake and Aeon subs don't even have a deck laser, I think it happens when telling them to attack ground targets, careful with this
- Some E stalling, you should get a T2 engineer as soon as the first T2 naval yard is finished, and get T2 generators


IGoGreek

+ Expanded pretty fast, even though it was with comm
+ Those T3 interceptors helped but it was kinda to late
- Not enough T1 interceptors the whole game cry.gif
- You really needed mass subs with destroyers for killing isles along with auroras for support
- Commwalk to isle seemed pointless, just expand with engineers
- A ton of excess mass, just write this on a sticky note and put it on your monitor: "Build stuff, then build more stuff" and do that till you hear "unit limit reached", then self destruct (ctrl K) T1 generators and other useless stuff, and gradually upgrade extractors, getting 2 T2 ones is better than one T3.
BTW stuff on this map = factories, interceptors, bombers, subs, auroras, destroyers and cruisers.
