Double ACU transport rush

One of us on each side did a transport rush. Our newer allies were bewildered.

I hope they nerf transports a bit - they can be had a tad too early...

Wait, each team killed one opponent of the other team through an ACU rush? Or could you, as a team, fend of the ACU rush? (sorry can't watch the replay yet)

It was well played. I think we were pretty much completely even until I got OC. I honestly started to worry once you started aggressively pushing out from my position.

I got a kick out of this game: Ta4Life and I pulled the same move on each other's teams. I don't know about Ta4Life's ally, but mine was asking if this was how the game was usually played. This is definitely a tricky strat to counter, but you can see it coming, and I think you can counter easily as long as you have 3-5 fighters ready by the time his transport pops out (I think that's possible...).

I'm pretty sure the building an air factory before anything else is going to by key to winning mp, since early intel on some of these tactics is vital.

As a side note, I think this type of strat would be extremely effective against ACU rushes.

Well actually it looked as if General Shnurdley quit, and things weren't looking too bad for him. Though Ta4Life was able to hurt the starting bases of both players, he didn't finish either player off, or give them unrecoverable damage. That is especially surprising given that he wasn't attacked at all for the first 10 minutes of the game. If we were able to free tag these replays, I'd tag this as yet another game in which the ACU-Experimental was the game winner. It makes me wonder why anyone would spend research anywhere except the ACU in the early game.

Good game.

I noticed during the game I had a pack of bombers fall ridiculously fast to that ACU aa gun. I know that the ACU health/damage upgrade increase the damage of the AA, but does Training III also give it AoE?

Funny, I thought that was an instance of overcharge...no?

If he had overcharge, I would have lost that last encounter.

You want to know something funny.

I did have the over charge I just didn't know to push O. That is right I admit I am a noob.

Nevertheless I lost exactly because I had less skill.
