I love this style of playing Cybran. It's basically the opposite of what I came up with for the tourny. You spam eco very early, then get ahead on units later. I spam units very early, then get ahead on eco later. Both seem fairly effective (although if he'd pushed you early, you would've been done for).
As an aside, why didn't you just keep pressing your advantage when you had him down? He was on 5 mexes, and if you'd attacked seriously he would've died. I guess since it was just a for-fun game?

More or less. I scared early pressing out of him by gunship sniping him the first game. So I wasn't too worried about that. The reason I didn't want to kill him by landspam was because I was worried I'd get killed by telesnipe in the process. I thought I was taking the safer route. The problem that isn't so obvious is that I forgot to make pgens. It turns out, experimentals cost a lot of energy. Things would have gone a lot more smoothly if mr cicada had stayed at home too. I'm not sure why I sent him out. It's also worth noting I used the eco upgrade to support the rapid expansion followed by factories.

Now I want to play you, to test my style against yours . Assuming we both survived the other's swell of units (which is not guaranteed, 6 factory production is scary), I think I'd end up slightly ahead, but I'm not certain because I really start bare-bones on the eco.
