[quote name='HeXetic' date='Today, 02:51 AM' post='7015624']This is seriously the funniest replay I've ever seen. The moment where the one power plant takes out the point defence across the chasm is a classic!
Honestly the UEF player did not do very well at all. He only had one land factory producing units and he didn't use any MMLs? No scouting with the air factory? Basically no attacking for 20 minutes after the transport shenanigans? He should have easily rolled over the aeon player had he just built some MMLs, or a TML on a forward factory.

Yeah, a scout would have showed that 10 minutes into it he had no defense near his starting mass extractors. Load up your transport a second time with tanks and take those out. Aeon player would have been seriously starved for mass after that, and UEF could have started pumping out MMLs as you said. Aeon may have had a lot of PGens, but 3 factories producing MMLs would have overwhelmed that easily. The UEF P-shield may have even come in handy in that instance.

Thats not entirely fair, the UEF player did exploit the lack of defense at the starting spot, and indeed did use MMLs in that transport raid. What the UEF player was guilty of was stagnation. This game might be vastly different to SC/FA and TA but it still requires that you steam ahead and snowball your economy, launching bigger and bigger attacks (and different ones if necessary). This is where he failed.
I never realized that Illuminate pgens could do so well ...
