Roanoke is definitely my weakest map at the moment although I think I put up a pretty good fight for a good while. I think I just lack the stamina for long games and I just get burned out after playing for too long and lose concentration.

I was surprised how easily I could build that Megalith. It was too little, too late unfortunately although it was fun to watch it one-shot his cruisers smile.gif

Enjoy!

I enjoyed the game. It really shows how t2 amphibious tanks got BUFF BUFF BUFF:::

UEF Cruisers got a buff as well, i cant remember they were shooting that many missiles at that range bach in SC. Each missile is doing 300 dmg it seems.
Also, it seems TML shoots much less ? Or were they just unable to track the missile until it was too late to lock and shoot ?

I was hoping i would get a chance to see t3 transports and cybran t3 gunships...oh well i at least i got to see HAB.
Poita...if you feel like it, would you mind taking a look at the SuperGuy vs duris_ rep with some general thoughts ?

EDIT: After thinking about it, i expect the metagame of roanoke to shift from destroyer-win condition to t2 amphibious tanks. If you think about, even only a few of them can easily conquer expansion islands (unless swarmed with PD), because you can basicly choose from which route to attack.
In addition, i find it difficult to decide between t1 transports or t1 gunships on that map. A gunship will probably be able to clean both expansions of your enemy before he can get interceptors, but using a transport you could drop 1 tank and one engineer each, not only denying, but claiming your opponents islands. Oh well.

I actually had another game on Roanoke against Dudefromthehood recently and I won this one. He accused me of map-hacking because I spotted a transport on radar and shot it down lol. It's actually the second time he's accused me of map-hacking since I started playing, although he did apologize after the first time after he watched the replay laugh.gif

Map hacking is a form of cheating where you use a program hack so that there is no fog of war, essentially allowing you to see things that you are not allowed to see.

He was trying to hide his t2 transport along the edge of the map but I spotted it on radar. So when I sent my fighters at it, he immediately jumped to the conclusion that I was cheating post-13661-1143531603.gif
