Thought I was going to win it, had trashed his economy pretty badly, but I just couldn't finish him, in the end my early T3 messed up so I tried to salvage something..

n1qshok.gif I think you threw that game away. You had the economy advantage and you had him contained. In my opinion, you tried to push too hard too fast. After you got those TMLs up and running, you should have simply sat behind a wall of units (outside his base preventing him from expanding) and built up your advantage. Tech up 2 or 3 more factories or build 5 or 6 more TMLs. You should have sent out an engineer to take all remaining mexes after your forces were placed on his doorstep.

You let him crawl back into it with the mass you gave him after the attacks. He would kill your forces and reclaim their mass in order to fund his defenses. You should have built up a large amount of force before assaulting his base. Another reason he came back was his TML. It was sitting there for a long time. You had scouted it but didn't throw down a TMLD until your T2 pgen and mexes got nuked.

It was a good game, just in the future remember: Strength in numbers, and react to what your scouts see.

edit: Also why in God's name did you send your ACU to his base at the end, you still could have won that game???

The most stupid loss I've seen so far java script:emoticon(':WTF:', 'smid_12')
WTF.gif
Sending bare comander to go directly on well-defended base without back up? java script:emoticon('o_0', 'smid_44')

Also, 'Loyalist' is much inferior choice compared to 'Bricks'. Bricks would have torn upart Duris' base... Futhermore spending resource on trebuchet was waste. Instead 5-6 'Bricks' and game over...

What the hell. Are you doing anything else insulting members and posting in threads 6 weeks old ?

In case you dont get it, he lost the game and suicides his commanders on purpose (if i remember right that is).

i sent my ACU to try n get a draw, he had slowly about to sandwich my base from both flanks.

and building bricks? wth? i could two loyalists for 10/12's of a Brick's cost, they may also have deflected his TMLs.

As far as I know game is not lost until commander is dead. If someone wants suicide he can press CTRL+K, right? Therefore that manoeuvre of moving bare commander onto the enemy's base seemed to me odd.

As for remark about leaving comments in old threads well I'm not trying to discuss anything with anybody, I just want to leave a comment on replay for future visitors. I post comments for replays that I consider interesting and which from my point of view allow to learn something. Hopefully I have right to do this.
I haven't anything in mind against Supertribe, he is a great palyer and I like his replays. java script:emoticon
