Well this game sucks.. i have no clue what to do as aeon to counter cybran arty spam on this map. If any of the viewers that will enjoy watching me die clueless have a good idea, then i could try it next time since me and mephi always play this stupid map in ranked.

And mephi next time pls give me re when u say ingame yes to re. This was lame of you.

Wow. Thanks Meph for showing how this map should be played....

I clearly fail at logic because I don't understand why aeon players persist in building significant amounts of t1 arty as part of their mobile forces. As far as I can see aeon arty, having no aoe, will hit a moving target only by luck. Hence, aeon arty is only good (but very good) against buildings.

Cybran arty is the opposite. High aoe but low dps, so kind of valid to mix in but only on maps like this or when you have to deal with t1 pd.

imo Meph won because he spammed better. Loius got caught with fewer units on the ground because he up'd a mex and wen't t2, building 1:1 tanks and arty may not have helped... but thats up for debate.

This is the thingy... His arty> my aeon arty. That means i have to come up with something different than spamming t1 only like he did. I wanted to go t2 gunships but since i already killed him in a custom on this map some hours before with t2 gunships it was kinda expected.. I have a new strat i will try if i meet him there again. It may work better, but there is no doubt that aeon are the really gimp faction on this arty spam map.

That exactely was my impression, as you said Loui. Aeon on CD = fail, nothing else to do about it.
And as you said, again, going t2 gunships seems the only viable option for aeon on that map. If you wouldn't just have said you did that strat before, I wanted to suggest riffs all air strat, but oh well...
I wonder what you'll come up with on your next try ^^

Why not gain air superiority right from beginning, hold off choke points with PDs and use T1 transport gunships / bomb his arties? if he tries mobile AA take em down with Light assault bot spam + commander. They are too fast for arties to hit aren't they? and since he will have to invest more on AA and interceptors, obviously his ground force strength should go down.
