I share the same sentiments as MonarchDodra. GPGNet's focus and adaptation to the situation was spot on in many cases. Viewing the replay from his/her perspective, I also noticed pretty well timed factory pausing and diversion of building power to keep production going when an expensive project was going on.
This is my first time seeing medusas used in larger concentrations to counter aurora masses. Very classy use of stealth in most parts, especially to cover the first brick so as to negate meph's advantage of a long range overcharge.
I've certainly picked up a few tricks from watching this. It's a pretty damn interesting match to say the least.
he didnt play perfect at all. he built way to much power at the start and to many factories and meph could of easily killed him at 2 different occasions early on. still a gg though
I don't see the perfection to be honest. I see very good play, but definitely not perfection. He made lots of little mistakes early game that shouldn't be made (ACU walking, idle ACU, etc). It seemed mostly like Meph left stuff unprotected, so GPGnet walked in and destroyed it. Medusas are used against auroras a lot, stealth is used a lot, rhinos are used more than you think.
Since FunkOff is gone and nobody else seems to want to review, I think I'll give it a review, although be warned that I've been out of the loop for a little while now. I'll see what I can do though
I've not watched yet anyway, so this should be interesting
