I think it is very difficult for Cybran to play against Aeon on water maps. Any suggestions though? Maybe more subs? But subs're useless against hovering units tongue.gif Other variant - more t1 frigates...to distract fire on themselves, while t2 destroyers and cruisers doing their job, i.e. inflicting damage.
Or maybe shift in favour of gunships? Destroying enemy cruisers in the first place and then gunships destroying the rest fleet? I don't see any feasible tactics for cybran so far... huh.gif

Cause of floating shields, flak and scouts aeon is very strong at sea. Not even air can touch them in late game. Cybran just have to be very aggressive and try not to let aeon do anything, and pre-counter every move as soon as possible.

Exactly...

Well, I think the late game isn't just a problem. In late game Cybran can stop Aeon fleet by Megaliths and nukes. The problem in my opinion is a midgame where cybran doesn't have proper counter to Aeon's floating shields and flak. Exodus covered by multiple shields is a power. post-13661-1143531603.gif

Just spam frigates, even against T2 naval they are totally cost efficient and floating shields are pretty useless vs. them.
Especially the Exodus sucks vs. them if you micro them a bit. Only thing you have to worry about is air so spam a lot of ints and build a cruiser first of all. If he builds Restorers on that map there are 2 things you can do:
1. Hope that he acts stupid and wastes them without ever using air staging or micro till you get a massive cruiser fleet or ASFs.
2. Hope that he let's you snipe his com, allows you to eat his ECO with TMLs and stuff.
3. Quit game.

He he, if he isn't stupid he'll spam frigates too as soon as you start spamming yours, but I agree, this maybe the best chance. Probably for the best effect one shoud use combination of frigates, t2 subs and gunships. T2 subs kill cruisers, frigates-> floating stuff and gunships the rest...
Cybran cruisers are good, but totally vulnerable to subs sad.gif . A couple of survived enemy subs will completely destroy cybran cruisers. Probably one should also mention cybran commander torpedo upgrade. In the midgame it might be quite useful...
By the way, thanks for response.
