This was my first game on Theta in FA and I'm playing against JacK__
I get off to a pretty decent start, my GG gets quite a few kills as well as a couple of mex but doesn't do enough damage to stop JacK's push. He comes charging straight at my base with his ACU and mixed Striker/Lobo/AA army. I quickly throw up a few PD, which are enough to stop him destroying my base, but he quickly spots my lone ACU and tries to get the kill. Luckily I manage to scrape enough units together to get my ACU out alive but JacK's amazing reclaiming allows him to forge a massive army that is too much for me to handle.
Was a pretty intense game, for me at least. Don't know if it will be just as intense to watch.
Could use some pointers though. I think I could've raided him better throughout and reclaimed more. Crappy mantis don't really help either
JacK was relatively unheard of before Aeon Ascendant then he suddenly came out of no where and won it, beating BlueScreenISU iirc.
Thanks for the review though. It appears that I need to try something different against UEF on this type of map. You reckon fast tech 2 (either land or air) would be best? What then? Wagners, Rhinos or Hoplites? I'd usually go with Wagners, but I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on Cybran t2. Hoplites with deceivers are a pretty nice combo too.
That 2nd air factory was a mistake btw, meant to put down a land factory. I was like "wtf?" when I saw it
