scout to see if he has a navy, and if he doesn't, send them straight away to his base.
I honestly didn't care if he had navy as I was going for torp upgrade anyway. There's nothing he could build in that amount of time to stop it.

Poita in particular, seemed really indecisive strategically.
I have to agree, but to be honest, I had no idea what to do. Attacking via ground is futile, as is trying to make any sort of expansion due to his ASFs and strat bombers. Naval attacks are also pretty futile for the same reason. My strategy in the end game was nothing more that "try to outspam with ASFs and gain air superiority," but that didn't work either
I was actually expecting matiz to just come in with his strat bombers at any moment any rape up my eco.
You say that frigates aren't a hard counter to riptides. If that is the case then what is? Gunships? Or just kite with mass cruisers? It's at times like these that I wish wagners were hover instead of amphib
lol, did you forget that gemini can stealth? I mentioned it like 8 times in the review and you didn't in that post lol.
But yeah, ideally, 4-5 frigates in front with 4-5 crusiers/destroyers in back would be best... you need enough directs and indirects for it to work.
But yeah ASFs are a bitch, which is why people spam them constantly, lol.
As far as game enders, a successful navy strike, a well supported-ML, or something with your ACU microwave + stealth would likely have ended the game. You have plenty of options, but they defintely started to shrink as the game progressed.
After this game, Matiz and I agree that ASFs are seriously OP. There's nothing you can do but try and outspam them
Enjoy
