I dont think this is ever a 9/10, id say 7.5/10 max.

Loui played a solid game I thought but he didn't reclaim really at all in the 2nd half of the game which is a huge mistake.

SC-Account I felt had all th advantages but he allowed loui to comeback into the game. Percys really won it for him towards the end, I don't know if it was a concious thought that he made them it seemed he just had alot of random shit spamming at home and some of them happened to be percys.

Limited use of t2 shields from SC-Account and really the whole letting loui back into the game was like having a guy hog tied with a gun to his face then letting him untie himself and punch you in the face before you shoot him.

It still was a fun game but I think even silver was a bit of a push on this on, seen loui play 1000 times better.

I agree about the rating, a 9/10 is really pushing it and a 9 should be gold really.

But this replay was really nice and fun to watch and worth a silver imho

Was fun to watch, I dint expect the Hoplites to hold their own agains Titans - splash damage ftw.

The only shortcoming ive seen in that match is that noone went for the huge pile of dead T3-Bots & Percis on the right side. SC-Account had some units there guarding, but sent no engi.

The main problem on SC-Account behalf was alot of unsucessful attacks which loui then reclaim some of but not all.

The real randomness of the unit production was also a mistake, strikers don't achieve anything other than free veterancy for the likes of loyalists.

Im not saying you guys played bad, you played well, I have seen loui play much stronger in other games though and played against him when he has played much better.

And really thats why I don't think this game should be 9/10.

9/10 is really reserved for once in a lifetime games only a few games on this forum (not just supcom all games) have ever got 9/10 and quite frankly I don't think this game comes into that catagory.

It was good it deserves silver and 7/10, not 9/10.

On the note of what SC-Account could have done to end the game faster. at one point around the 20min mark you had 80 mass income vs loui 50 mass income, you should have stopped some t1 production and focused purely on t2, pillars + parashields with some t2 powers for your parashields and just crowded loui in from all sides. Hoplites have low dps and are very bad against parashields en masse, pillars are one of the strongest mass for mass units in t2 espicially agaisnt cybran who have to rely on kiting. Map control was yours, you had a bigger eco and you were too impatient against loui who was pretty much in dire straits.

You attacked him a few times like I said before but he picked those attacks off and turned the tables by the 28minute mark the eco situation was reversed and loui was favourite rather than what should have been an easy win.

Ny first attack on Loui was only not that succesful cause he received 600 energy/second from his ally after I killed most of his power. That was my only full attack afaik.
I missed some raiding attacks cause I didn't pay attention all the time, that's true...

The strikers got really good DPS/mass compared with Pillars and slightly less HP per mass force enemy units to overkill + it gets hard to define the colout of my army as you can't see on radar if I got 20 Pillars or 20 Strikers. OC also can't be used untill the Strikers get in sight range. Besides that I would have waste build power. Later on when I got enough T3 I stopt most of the T1 factories. Strikers are also always nice for raiding.

Well in this case I agree with you, but what for is 10/10 then?
For games which happen less then once in life time? biggrin.gif
Was there any game which got 10/10 btw?

I am pretty sure that I never had 80 mass income at that point, I guess you looked at it when I was reclaiming.
Parashields are only good in formations but formations will slow down my army massively and that way it gets very hard to catch my opponents army . Hoplites will also work well vs a shielded army cause they got way more time to deal damage without receiving any damage and 20 Hoplites are still able to break a T2 mobile shield in ~4 sec.
I think mobile shields are only really good if you're attacking through one way and if your opponent got no chance to avoid your army and to guard valuable units of course.

10/10 just doesn't exist as you will for example never see a game rated 100% in a game magazine. It is the imaginative top where everything leads to, trying but never reaching it, the ideal everyone wants to go to and so on....!

Well ok that's no problem as 9,9/10 also works tongue.gif

Gonna have to watch this one though. smile.gif

Yeah 10/10 is described in the staff forum as being "the perfect game" which is impossible.

Really it is a pointless thing to have 10/10 but thats the way the rating system is designed.

There is games with 9.5/10 in the Zero Hour section I think but thats the only ones I know about.

I think there is one or two games in supcom that have made 9/10 but those were gold.

Like I said before 9/10 is really automatically a gold if you reach that.
