Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance

A quite standard Thermopylae (v2) beginning : we rush for the monkey, we loose it, and all my teammates die. The game should have stopped there, but I decided to turn the game into a survival one.

I turtled like crazy using their XP's mass, and manage to hold on for almost an hour. It took them a paragon and many t3 arties to get me.

I die stupidly, letting my drones repair my com, drain all my energy and kill my shields. If only I had upgraded my com with shields, it wouldn't have happened...

I wonder how long I could have last without that silly mistake...

>You did that several times. Why didnt you let your ACU patrol back in your base while using T3 engis to build? It does not make a big difference with drones assisting and your ACU can be kept under some nice shields.
BTW: When facing arty it is a bad idea to build lines of shields like you did as one arty shot will damage several shields... get some space between them. Also ACU shield might have been a considerable help

This. Also, when under arty attack, use T2 shields as well: they won't be damaged when the T3 shields are, and they regenerate really fast if they go down.

Thanks for your advice, I'll try to keep them in mind next time I have to turtle.
