Quite long game here, I'm not very comfortable with siberia and now cerby heavily used coyotes rather than massed maces. Lots of nice fights and both sides could've won at any time, perhaps I lacked enough aggressiveness and let him recover from each battle I could have the upper hand. Iron flails area dmg and meteor hammer mad attack almost won the day, but then massed coyotes and age 4 erks are too much for arquebusier/redcoat/changdao/iron flails sad.gif
Oh and by the way...the flying crow is so cool biggrin.gif it owns maces so much, I bet it does good vs other LI as well.
Again, training ming armies with qiangs and keshiks wouldnt hold massed coyotes with firepit boost and upgrades, and china cant effectively mass a strong HI unit like changdao. Vs ERK and coyotes, territorial armies spam will only beat it if I soundly outnumber him. I'd be thankful if someone review it and give me more details about how to deal with these issues that are haunting china's 1.01 life frusty.gif

Ps: Most games vs cerby are that long tongue.gif they're always damn challengeling, but as tiredness then starts to stalk us and I admit there might be nothing worng with china and I could've just gotten exhausted and couldn't eventually made it further post-13661-1143531603.gif

Those flails are nasty evil cuir wannabes....just as well China can't spam them solo.

It was absolutely disheartening to see those coyotes go oh so cheap, especially after I've seen them beat so much, and so many other people in the past. But again, the flails specialise in it - so the only answer is to turn to everyone else's favourite friend the ERK - and of course it paid off.

Wasn't best pleased about how often in our games I tried to get the remains of my army back home and it never worked out, not least because he always manages to cav them down after. I have a habit of using a two-piece army (easier to micro) but that in turn means the coyotes are usually dead when you need them to cover your escape. Possibly the reason for my still being stuck down in mid 20's, among other things. sad.gif

Better answer is to have a few spears and commit them later. Commit them early and the guy will just sk you off, but commit them once his cqavs are locked with the coyotes and often they make their mark. biggrin.gif

We fought soooooo many of these fights. But it's been very educational and I'm surely a better player for it. But that's why I hang out here, right? wink.gif

Thanks for all the posts, guys. I've been a little short on time lately, but I will certainly have a look. I think everyone is interested about how China is shaping up in 1.01. My premise is that they will win with Old Han, but FF is more questionable now than it used to be. And I fully agree that the ranged infantry nerf really helped the Aztecs because coyotes are such a good buy for only 110 resources.
