Not one of my greatest moments. This WAS my first game in 5 weeks, and I had to adlib a lot to start out. The first half is not bad, but the second half is just Cerby being a pain and trying to live as long as possible. It gets badly campy so FF that bit if you're not into that sort of thing.
Aztec recs are low on the ground, so another can hardly hurt.
This particular match was before that, and I was intending to put it up anyway. Just didn't get around to it. Our matches I assume went under private sort-of tuition, and I assume there was no real reason to put them up. Our 2v2 afaik was not recorded. I fyou do want our training putting up, I can....just don't think it was too flattering. Not that this one is.
I don't recall it (probably too busy playing ), how did he get up there? Nothing surprises me with this game though, I had an AI match offline on painted desert where I was wandering around with a big pack of Nagis and we went past one of those pillars of rock you sometimes see sticking up in the middle of nowhere. Well, it decided it was gonna climb it and not come back down, and there was nothing I could do to persuade it otherwise. Add that to the legion of other mystery bugs, like trade routes that won't let you build on them and games that start without an explorer...!
Noted, read and thumbs-uped. I'll comment more heavily once I get a longer free stretch. It is a useful review in general though, the only problem point is I still have no intention of FB'ing Japan just so I can eat Ashi I can't kill. (Unless of course, you know a safe way to FB Japan I don't - and I don't know squat about FB'ing in general - other than building to the side and praying he doesn't spot it in time. Actually, I think we will talk some more on the FB issue, obviously folks know something about this I don't.)
Cerby, 95% of the time I lose to aztecs who FB. Mace completely rape ashi, so you'll just need some puma and coyote to deal with any early (and few) nagis. I dont know if you have tried to FB or have just ruled it out in fear. But if you haven't tried it, try it and see how well it works.

I advise the FB because it gives map control. This in turn makes building shrines a whole load harder and killing them a whole load easier. If you want to attack his main base, then doing so gives less "lag" from when you leave your own, so you get an earlier attack, and with Japan the economy cannot up-sticks when under pressure as the berries and cerries are only found at the base, other civilisations can sneak out to another hunt so are harder to keep garrisonned.
You cannot be defensive because his eco grows faster than yours, so you simply must attack. That means building a forward base.
