Havent posted in a while so heres a rec 8). Not best game ever, he made some mistakes but i think i did pretty well here. kinda shows why imo germ is one of the best options vs china, uhlans are really nice vs them
Thanks, I will watch. I agree that Uhlans do well agaisnt China, esp with card upgrades and veteran status. In decent numbers, they even beat China's lousy anti-cav units! Once you kill their disciples, they can't really stand up to 20 or 25 uhlans too well.
Hey thanks for posting. How did you know he wouldnt rush? You didnt even build a barracks till you were almost in fortress. In my experience (at the lower levels at least ) China always attacks before the 11 min mark! I have a hard enough time surviving the first wave when i prepare for it, never mind not even having a barracks and I never try to FF cause my tc would go down before I would ever make it. What is your secret? I only wish china would leave me alone that long...
Well this was the second game we played and there he FFed too, + this map has a tower so he wont be able to rush me too hard anyway, can always quickly make a rax and send 9xbow + mm if needed. Anyway, china ff is a lot better than their colonial so that might only ever work because of surprise factor. he probably should have been more agressive early fortress though.
Yes, he should have been more aggressive in early fortress. Once he got his disciples and Age 3 arqs, he went off treaure-hunting instead of swarming your base. Last time I played China he didn't bother with the treasures in Age 3; he charged right at me and pwned my army! Btw, wonderful work picking off those disciples before they could bother your uhlans. ELO needs to address the fact that Age 3 disciples (40 damage per critical hit) can wipe out cavalry.
King: You never quite know if China will rush you, but good scouting and deck-checking always help. Heavy Age 3 shipments are a decent tip-off, plus the 700 coin card in Age 2. A little uhlan gallop around his base will also tell you if he's going for that cursed White Pagoda
