And the last game vs Unwell, vs japan again. Think I started quite well here, agressive xbow semi ff again. Can kill some vills and pick off some ashis and go up, though he makes better use of naginatas here and I lose my army just as I hit fortress. there we have some fights too, he stays age2 and its skir/uhlan vs ashi/nagi. This is one of the few decks i dont have jaegers in :X could have used it here
Thanks for posting; I will watch tonight. I am very interested to see this because I just can't beat Japan with Germany, FF or no FF. I've used massed uhlans and skirms against his naginata/ashi combo but just can't seem to break it. It's prolly bad micro on my part, but my uhlans don't beat his nagis, and I think they should once they have 49 or 54 attack.
On the other hand, it doesn't help that ashi are pouring it on with 33 or 40 attack while the cav is fighting it out.
Maybe having some BRs in the background would help ??
Interesting result here, since the previous game pitted virtually same armies against each other. I suppose in this one he had a few more nagis, and they successfully cleared the uhlans out of the way. I guess this is what German/Japan matches are all about: Whose cavalry will win?
Nice semi-FF in both games. I'm going to start doing that against Japan just so he doesn't bother my vils too much before I go fort. I've found that if you just go straight to fort, he does too, or--worse--industrial, especially on water maps with free fishing boats. What's a poor German to do?
