Played automatch as random, got Novus. I scouted my opponents saucers which meant he went Assembly first... Up until now I've always thought Assembly first is bad vs Novus as I haven't played vs anyone who has managed to make it work. After this game I will have to reconsider that, even though I made some mistakes and overall didn't play my best game...

Comes down to just a few buildings. This game was intense, lol

(and kinda retarded, so take it with a grain of salt)

That was pretty impressive. Makes you wonder what might have happened if he hadn't lost all of his collectors in the very beginning.

Well done.

I thought you had that in the bag when you took out my Arrival Site, so I stupidly sold everything expecting you to just take down that walker without problems. Was still a fun match though, I can't believe it lasted as long as it did.

Assembly Walkers are considered the staple against Novus early on, as Defilers can shut a base down with their radiation abilities (radation adds a 5% to the unit build times on affected structures and does damage over time) and their sheer firepower means they with Saucers can kill most early game Novus units (Saucers counter Variants, Corruptors, and Antimatter tanks while Defilers counter Ohms and structures). The Assembly also has more hardpoints in its death puzzle than a Habitat (Arms x2 + Shield Generators x2 + Crown + Core = 6 objects compared to the Habitat's Panals x2 + Coolent Node x2) and costs less to fully cover due to one less crown socket. Granted, vehicle units cost more, so an Assembly can't produce as big of an army to support it cost for cost.

Yeah I guess the game was really stupid. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have uploaded it in that case.

No, why. HvN is always relevant to my interests. I'll watch it soon.

I don't mind, I enjoyed that match. It went far better than the HVH one we had shortly after. tongue.gif

Sounds like one of the many HvHs I had with him... they're all a pain, lol.

As for the actual game itself - it was truly in Unleashed's style (and I'm not talking about the ones like "LOL I BEAT VODDY WATCH 100 WUBS PLZ )))))))))))))"). Yes, there were mistakes, yes, the gameplay wasn't really that good - but damn, was it exciting. That was one of the closest ending's I've seen in my life - and that coming from a KW player is a lot, lol. If that walker reached your base just like 10 seconds earlier... just wow.

The only reason I upload mediocre replays like these are because the replay section is almost dead... it has to be kept alive sad.gif

Hey, a replay is a replay. Mediocre nothing, don't let them keep you from posting.
