When I learned that he beat you only in this map, I thought: He got rushed, the bovines fueled a nasty fast attack.

As I was watching the replay, I noticed he took time to attack as he teched up. You had also time to build up and tech up. There were some skirmishes, but with the exception of your army of conqs and discs vs his mag walker, nothing too serious.

As you started rolling out the peacebringers, I then thought: What mistake did Voddy make? If you are already making PBs, you cannot lose against the H combination he had unless you make a mistake.

There was absolutely no need to forfeit, you already had the game in the bag. It would have made the score more impressive as it would have been a clean sweep.


You played it well in general, just some observations:

- You failed to make guardians in the north of your base in good numbers. Phase tanks are hovercrafts, so they go on the lake and float. The lake was an obstacle for your army, not his. All the attacks he mounted with phase tanks were because your army was going around the lake while his could just go straight.

- You needed a sentry with seer to dephase the tanks. Preferably, close to some guardians so his army gets shredded.

- Charos is awful vs a walker, and I don't think he even had a chance to fight the tanks. 10 popcap there that did practically nothing.

- If you already saw the magnets, going with Altea is a no brainer. She substitutes a seer in sentry, a sentry with architect, plus has 2 useful abilities vs walkers and superweapons. She goes very well with peacebringers also.

- You did fine in light, but once you have peacebringers, it is dark all the way. Faster and more durable peacebringers....

- You also took too long to research light 4. 2-3 oracles in the path of the mag walkers makes all the money spent on the walkers useless.

- You never fired your SW. Yours fires faster, use it in your favor.

- After your army of conqs and discs met the mag walker, there was no need to retreat. You should have kept charging toward his base and take out his production walker, reapers or arrival site

- Finally, upgrading all the matter engines at the same time is a big NO NO. Even worse because you had virtually no money left after the upgrades started, you couldn't make anything for those upgrade times. Masari structures are useless when upgrading (matter engines stop collecting, turrets cannot fire) Upgrade them one by one, 2 at once at most.

You did well in general, just some fine details. The biggest one was forfeiting tongue.gif
