That was a blast to watch. Great play by both sides and to be honest, I didn't see SM having a chance when the Khorne rolled in and his units got shackled by the sorcerer. Very entertaining.
Wow, This game was incredible to watch, I have always liked using SM and felt that the universal need to fast tech was annoying to play against, because you have to fast tech as well to keep up most of the time, missing out on a lot of strategy, and instead get in a arms race that is just a measure of who can press buttons faster. This was so great to watch and see how to defeat possessed marines + oblits without having to tech like crazy. I mean, this totally breaks the whole "you should be t3 in 5min" mentality that many players use, and shows great play ability. Flamers are great when orks use them, but people never use them with any other race, so the use of flamers to keep the chaos t1 broken is refreshing and imaginative. I am just disappointed that ASM can't use flamers like their Chaos Raptor counterparts (just imagine the pwnage). The only question for this replay is why no melta bombs? They seem like they could really help in the harass of LPs, and would set back your opponent more than they would set an ASM user in req and power if they aid in the destruction of LP2s, which took down a few ASMs. I was fully impressed by this game
Can someone tell me how to watch replays, replay packs?
To view a replay, you need to save it to the playback folder located in the dawn of war dark crusade program file. Once you have done this, start the game and click on skirmish. From there click on Load Saved game, and click on recorded games. The replay you just downloaded should be at the top of the list, and then you just click on Ok to start. There used to be a perfect guide on how to view replays on the old replay forum system, but I cannot find it now that the replay system has been updated. I have never played around w/ replay packs myself, but I think I remember hearing that you need to download the Gimp to convert the files - you would need to ask someone who has been watching replay packs for a while to confirm.
