Another little trick that comes in handy is spotting a chopper, either by yourself or a squad member. Then take a look, gauge the distance, and then duck back into your cover. Fire your shot over or around the cover and then pop out to finish the deal by blowing them chopper from the sky!
I doubt this will work, the missile gains so much altitude if you fire upwards that you can almost hit B from A on Heavy Metal (left with a 3 second game and then aimed almost directly down).
The AT4 is easy once you learn the rocket speed and amount to lead the target by to bring the missile on course.
What exactly does the article mean with the rockets "Glow"?
I guess that what is meant is the 'fire' of the rocket. When firing a rocket you don't see much more of the rocket. I think the 'glow' was mentioned in the part where you zeroed in yor aim on the target soon before impact. If you line up the 'glow' and the target in time, the rocket hits.
I like the vid. I wish I'd be able to hit with the AT4 like that
This growing popularity makes tracers kind of a distinct, I had a full team of engineers and a chopper in the sky which I tagged(TWICE!) and nobody had RPG or M2CG to lock on it and send down that mofo, instead, everyone was imagining themselves KEWL AT4 PROSKILLAH while the chopper was easily avoiding all the rockets. Sad.
But if he did that there could be a chance it would expose him as being nowhere near as good as he claims to be.
In all honesty, the AT4 is far more effective against tanks than helicopters. Unless you're proficient with the AT4 you're generally better off using a tracer and an RPG or Carl Gustav to take out helis.

you gotta be kidding lol ... as soon you're locked on any pilot will jump out his chopper and you wont get any kills ... with the AT you will always get 2 kills...
actually the tracer and rpg work good against tanks only, because once its tracked all engineers on the maps basically just have to shoot in the air to kill it, same for teamwork in squads.
fail imo, getting both of these wrong shows a huge lack of game knowledge

But the chopper is destroyed, should be more important to remove the significant threat over just getting kills.

I'm being told I lack game knowledge by someone who thinks kills are more important than removing the threat of an enemy helicopter, oh the irony.
And the reason an AT4 is far better against tanks is that it kills tanks faster than the other launchers, can exploit directional armour with ease and is less efficient against helicopters than an RPG and a tracer dart. Yes, taking out a helicopter with an AT4 is fun and a nice way of using the weapon, but the AT4 is simply more efficient when used against tanks.
And also, tracers and rpgs are far better against helicopters than tanks. Tanks are generally covered by buildings or hilly terrain, only stupid tank drivers sit in the open for any significant amount of time, and therefore your dumb-fired rpg is just going to take the shortest route and hit a building, tree etc. Plus a tank driver can jump from a tank when he sees the tracer warning and hide behind it/fix it and the tank is still a threat, or he can just drive behind cover.
By contrast, helicopters are usually far more exposed than tanks, dropping behind cover with a helicopter means flying low and exposing yourself and if the pilot exits the helicopter in order to avoid being blown up by an rpg, the helicopter will be destroyed either way; if your rpg hits it's dead and if not the helicopter will plummet to the ground explode on impact.
