Pros:
  • Nice Bo at start, although it's surely not new!
    (I had created a similar one, back in 1.02 when i used to be swg pro. The problem is in the placing of your emp patriots. If the left patriot is not behind the road, then he can sneak a helix from the back to make a flame tank drop or just kill your buildings! To tell the truth back then, i didn't manage to make this BO to work with warf. It worked though pretty good with af and fast alpha. Versus china (all) try to destroy your cc (3 md's and your emp patriots) while you research the flash bang! This way you get the 10 super rangers (they change from flash bang to riffle by theirselfes)!!! Versus inf you will also need 2 firebases, the 10 rangers and the 3 emp emp in a triangle! The problem that you have with your Bo is that he is able to destroy your buildings and he becomes generals promotion this way! These are your greatest problem if you choose to bunker!)

  • Excellent use of your colonel! although he didn't do anything against him! thumb.gif
Cons:
  • You lost your first 2 humvees... cry.gif
  • You never tried to save your strategy, by turning it into hold the line! This should be the first thing to do when you hear artillery!
  • You should have desroyed the oils!!!! dry.gif
  • You should have taken more space while you were bunkering! In order to be able to build your buildings with some distance between them! If he had used his artillery properly you would be dead! sad.gif
You managed to stop him at start but with really huge losses! You played good and you managed to win only because of your excellent use of your colonel and his tremedeous mistakes. Going for 1 supply as swg, you have to play a flawless game and be lucky in order to win, if your opponent is equal to you! That was the reason that i stopped playing swg!!! Pros:
  • Good job putting him under a lot of stress at start! thum.gif
  • Nice job attacking him constantly! This way you got the artillery! thumb.gif
  • Good use of your artillery, but you could have gotten more buildings!
  • Nice work destroying his strategy the whole time!
Cons:
  • You didn't wait enough to attack him! 3 tc is your magic number! sleep.gif
  • You wasted a lot of units without a reason! dry.gif
  • You should have teched up fast in order to be able to steal the oils and get a lotus.
  • You could have killed his avenger with your gattlings and rape his humvees with your migs.
  • Since your gattlings could go in his base, you should have sent a gattling from the left to kill his cnooks that fled to the hill! The range is enough. I have tried it out! sleep.gif
  • Some mines on your af wouldn't be such a bad idea! cry.gif
  • Try to send a simple soldier in the range of his emp patriot, (the emp locks into the soldier and even with pro manual use of the emp, he can't kill more than a single mig) and then burn it down with migs! (90% you won't even lose a single mig this way!)
  • May i ask why you wasted your money on making dragon tanks??? What have you thought? A dragon tank is only good (vs usa) if you drop it with a helix. That was possible with his BO.
Although you did really a lot of mistakes, you didn't play that bad since you probably saw this strategy for the first time! Losing to a colonel is unacceptable... Just leave an empty outpost near your af or even put some mines on it! Ecms would have helped you too, as long as they stay away from emp patriots!

Summary: Decent game with some battles, but it was clear, who was the most experienced player in this game! Losing to a colonel this way is a bit lame… I hope my tips didn't bore you in this review!

I was afraid of him attacking my vee's while they were shut down/he'd attack from flank while they're shut down.

Never saw him have them so why'd I destroy them? Taking them would be so much better idea anyway wacko.gif

Just no. In order to make this BO fast you gotta build stuff close together, that way it's easy to defend.

BTW, about the BO you posted about, I've never seen someone used it 'cept for Thor in one game in 1.2 and your BO with CC kill would get buttplugged by Migs.

I have more than 1500 games as swg, so i thought that my experience could help...

#About your humvees, yes you are right, you can't do much to save them from the first bn migs! That was more like a statement....

#I will disagree with you about the strategy center, since most pro players will take intentionally your strategy out, to attack your humvees afterwards! He was a bit far away to do that...

#If he had a lotus, then he would be able to steal the oils before you can stop him and he would get a good money boost this way!

#I will agree with that, but strategy and supply for example shouldn't be that close, so that they can get killed by a single artillery! I never meant that you should take the half map, but a few cm would be enough for that!

#Migs are always a problem if you try to bunker...

interesting replay. I'd like to see more.....the Tank player played well but it looked to me like he felt like with you bottled in like that it was only a matter of time before his superior economy won the game for him.

That was a rather costly mistake. That and never figuring out what to do with Burton. Could that have been the same thought process?

In any case I'd like to see more. I love the underdog strats like this thumb.gif keep 'em coming!
