GG, you played it well but your lifw woulda been a lot easier had you built infernos.

Instead of going for a second AF so early I woulda made a prop. The infernos are just so annoying, and you had black napalm anyway so they are justified.

Migs are nice dont get me wrong, but look at the right side of middle and how much bunker he had there, 2 stingers and 3 tunnels. Even if you keep migging that, while you reload he can rebuild more.
The way I see it is the infernos are constant damage, therefore use them to clear that bunker field, and have the migs in the air near by waiting for a bus to come.
The migs are solely there to kill the bus and protect the infernos, nothing else.
Just have a load of upgaded gatts and ecms there with the infernos as well. Then when the bus does come, order the migs to attack, pull the infernos back a bit and alt path an ecm. In what exact order you do those 3 things up to you, but the bus will be fairly useless and he will lose that entire attacking force very fast.

I'd also recommend in middle putting down a speaker tower and some bunker yourself so you can pull the infernos back to some safe area fairly quickly.

Later on you can get 8 migs if you want and can afford it, but I regard the infernos far more important, they are so damn fast at clearing things.

You are much better than me so I hope you dont mind my advice, and if you want to see a perfect example of what im talking about. Page 73 of this topic, my last replay (inf vs demo) https://www.gamereplays.org/community/index...675&st=2880

-Marnie- (Vanilla China) vs Radnik (Toxin) on [RANK] TD NoBugsNoCars ZH v1.

China's Air Power was putted to the test against the Trenched-Upped GLA.

Comments for -Marnie-: IPB Image
  • Good usage of your General's Abilities, denying all of the attempts of reconstructing the palace. Therefore, keeping the GLA player on a back-foot.
  • Nicely timed MiG & Dragon combination, which opened up a path for you to sneak in and kill the most valuable buildings, such as Palace and CC, inside his base parameter.
  • Good usage of Lotus near the end.
  • Overall: Great job at keeping your enemy on Tier1, not allowing him to build a single buggie or bus. Even the ones that were managed to be made, got destroyed by the MiG Power.

Comments on Radnik: IPB Image
  • Good attempt at cutting down his oil, by doing a TT on it, early on. Although, it could've been used in denying of his WFs.
  • You should not have placed your palace, right in the center of the middle. If it was further, and deeper, inside your base, it would've surely survived long enough till you get the needed T3 units, like b0ggies and buses.
  • Despite having a good amount of cash, by controlling the right portion of the middle, you didn't when dual AD. That could have worked out, considering that MiGs aren't exactly powerful enough to stop the hordes of quads on its own.
  • Coming back to the palace; You didn't get the Gamma, while you were able to. Taking it would've greatly boosted the damage of both your tunnels and Stingers, which, later on, would have stopped the dragons much easier.
  • Going Marauders, against China, isn't a shabby move to pull off, and mixing it up with Scorpion Spam, by giving those a Rocket up beforehand, would have been a nice counter the countless outposts he has send you.
  • Overall: You did well in pushing him back, but after a while, the MiG attacks, plus a dragon, that sneaked and burned down most of your stuff, killed the last hope of making a comeback.

In Conclusion; This was a very swift match that kept me interested the whole time. I liked the usage of MiGs very much, and if it wasn't for them I don't even know what could've made such actively going game. Rating of 6/10 is granted!

As a side note: The previous comment to this, mentioned a nice alternative for Migs - which are Inferno Cannons. They are much reliable, and can deal about a similar damage to that of a MiG strike, when there's 4-5 of them. Getting a few ovies to protect those babies is just enough to have brute force, with which you can push about anything T1 GLA has.

Thx for review. Good one smile.gif
Also @fast air , that's true. I should've made infernos. I don't remember if he got gamma upgrade but if he had gamma and some stinger sites / tunnels it would be so hard for me to break it. Infernos great choice for sure , I just wasn't thinking much and didn't know what to do ( as usual )

Marnie

Interesting start with the rax + red guard, payed off, especially with the late wf from Radnik. You were lucky on the left side, your second supply had no real defense for a couple of minutes, which he did not take advantage off, after you nicely capatilized on that with a bunker, locking down the area. Nice agression on his palace mid. Good capitilisation on mid resources, and timing on the migs for control. Good retreat when spotted his tunnels in his base area. When you had 2 airfields and 2 migs, you attacked his oil tunnel. When you have that amount of BN migs you might as well kill his oil and be done with it. Occupying vs Tox General is a tricky thing, always have a dragon tank nearby if you want to make sure to keep that area. Earlier you did, but neglect to replace it. Singe file non-microed dragons will not change that. Hard moment after complete middle control, while it was avoidable, especially seeing him make 2 stingers on that side and knowing he' toxin. Sell your depleted supply (multiple times). Terrible carpet and attack on his right. If you are going to attack his left side, and see a stinger, attack it before you engage with 3 flamers? Complete waste now. Most of the time going hackers vs GLAs is not a good idea. However in this case, with mostly middle control, his palace killed, or down to the whole basicly the whole game, it's actually a winner situation. Just 1 hacker at a time from the very moment u had it, or even when the quads were killed, wouldve gave you an comfortable win. 3/4 Carpet, on 2 stingers.....why? He had 2 black markets, maybe you did not see them, but using it on base defenses, is most likely a bad idea in any case. Repair your airfield! One of you most valuable buildings, with 3/4 migs on it, is just hurt bad. Send the dozer, it doesnt matter if it takes time, even if the enemy can stop it, which he cant and won't since this is no priority or knowedgable info to him. Excellent use of genpoints and flamers to kill his CC, which basicly won you the game right there/ decent defense against his counterpush with the migs (barely managed though tongue.gif) got you the win. WP

Radnik:

No tech harrassment made sure he could get 2 warfactories without any problems, and even lock down down of the sides, and relative middle peace. 3 workers on the 2nd supply = big mistake. Nice pre-emptive with the TT kill on the oil, good job. Palace placement was terrible though sad.gif Especially with just 1 tunnel, Toxin or no, thats gambling big time.

As a reaction to 'losing' the middle, you put down 2nd tunnels everywhere, pretty nice. Good 2nd placement of the palace. With tox vs. any china though you could have easily took back or at least fought (and get promotions) for the middle. Stinger sites don't work against migs, unless in ridicilous numbers, when in that case you might as well get AP ammo for quads + busses as moving units. Nice move reclaiming middle right with your army, tox has that advantage and you took it nicely. Now the match is way more balanced all of a sudden. However, with your palace destroyed, tier1 units need to do the job, you had 1 black market, but did not research 1 single upgrade, unforgivable seeing the circumstances. Good agression in the middle near his base though, when he had just striked with his migs. After, not so good, I was very surprised he didnt attack you 6 quads with ground troops as distraction, annihilating your quad force with the 8 migs. Terrible rebel ambush. Sending a buss out on its own when you know there are 4+ migs out?? OK some buildings occupied, but there was no rebel in the buss if the building were took. Even then it was a bad idea. Save your units. This attack was not worth it. The bunkering on the right side was nicely done though, you needed that for money, and there was no easy way to take it out. What is Jarmen is Marnie's base trying to achieve? You have no money for power and CC, and even if you did he is 3/4 star, which killed it. Smart defense in very late game when he tried to overpower you with an obvious close warfactory. Great Jarmen use lategame, his whole base was sniped lol tongue.gif Good try to agress his airfields, just not enough units to make it work. Still a nice try to win it with captures and a few units. Bad luck tox rebels dont kill migs, because with the active jarmen, that might have won you the battle of attrition. GG though!

Great review. thanks alot
My first carpet was a misclick lol. i wanted to put it somewhere else but clicked accidentally!
one thing i dont agree with you is about stinger sites. correct me if im wrong but Tox stinger sites especially with gamma upgrade are so hard to break with migs. you literally can't kill them without losing migs especially if there is more than 1.
