The reason I carpet bombed then used artillery is because if you use both as soon as you get to level 3 gla will know to pop quads as soon as they hear artillery and might shoot down your bomber.

I refuse to scaffold over scraps. I think it’s incredibly lame and shouldn’t be allowed.

why do you think scrap deny is lame btw? You lose money to a scaffold if your opponent is fast enough to kill it. And gla can also counter it with a scaf of his own (demo trap) by placing it near the scrap. I think it's a cool little game on it's own that requires some speed and skill.

scaffold abuse balances the game and makes increases the skill ceiling for the reason exile mentioned.

I don’t buy this it increases micro argument at all. I see it as a get out of jail free card. It means if you waste units unnecessarily vs gla or have bad micro you can get away with it by scaffolding. If you truck rush the consequence should be a scrap for gla. If you don’t mine your supplies you take a risk of giving away scraps. If you take a bad quad fight in a gla mirror the other person deserves the upgraded quads etc etc.

Plus scraps are just a really cool mechanic of the game and using buildings as offensive weapons is inherently stupid.

You'd get smacked by a good gla player every time if you don't cancel out that scrap... even in gla mirrors. Sorry, but it is very useful and adds another feature to the game, especially in situations where someone tries to deny your scrap with the scaffold, as gla, you can stop the scaffold with a demo trap scaffold if you are quick enough. You can also use scaffold's to blow up demo traps! HA!
