Saying like "A good map strategy can undermine any overpowerness regardless of faction" is simply a suggestion about a better team that does a better job on a specific map. Well.. GDI better job can always be found as well assuming you can do it on NOD.

I see your point here. So you mean no matter what NOD does GDI (assuming) can do the same too but they have the upperhand because of the unit bonuses? What are these units if you don't mind telling us. My first guess is Hunters.

Correct, It starts by Hunters, for slightly faster and passive veterancy.
It goes on with Tier 2 with the following units -= PAY ATTENTION =-:

The following 3 units share in common one great property. They are all equipped with MULTIPLE WEAPONS on a single unit.
In short:

1) FireHawk - GOOD BOTH AGAINST MEDIUM AIR (ROCKETS) and AGAINST STRUCTURES (BLAST BOMBS).
2) HammerHead - GOOD BOTH AGAINST MEDIUM AIR (ROCKETS) and LIGHT UNITS (HEAVY GUN).
3) Zone Raidrer - GOOD BOTH AGAINST HEAVY (LASER) and STRUCTURES (BLAST BOMBS).

When people like Fusty.. you all know he is fond of FireHawks right? When he employs FireHawks, his 50 CP GDI FLEET will counter both the NOD COBRAS but ALSO THE BUNKERS/STRUCTURES protecting NOD without he even meaning to counter it specifically.

No need to select the weapon.. both of the weapons are passively active simultaneusly. No need for changing primary weapon with a HOT KEY.

Look!, The NOD COBRA itself is already countered 3 times by Orcas, Hammer Heads and FireHawks. So even without meaning.. your GDI fellows counter the NOD COBRAS without an explicit meaning to do so in every stage of the game almost.

NOD simlpy do not have multiple purpose weapons that are dedicated to be good against two typs of targets simultanuesly in T1 and T2. There fore NOD weapon selection is always needed to be specific in order to be effective.

GDI don't need to compromise in unit selection, they don't need to take hard decisions.. They don't need to specifically select a weapon against a unit. Their weapons are just good pretty much against multiple NOD armors in a given moment without compromise or a hard decision.

This is even without talking about the GDI Support powers which is another problem in early game. I wish NOD Support could inflict damage to GDI air units with a support power.
You know.. Landing crates on an Venom spam or an escaping NOD crawler / landing a heroic engie inflicts damage to air units as well..

NOD Support can't inflict DIRECT DAMAGE to GDI AIR units with support powers.
There is no function in NOD support that can do that.

In fact, I think we all know a pretty much useless NOD SUPPORT POWER: FIRESTORM IGNITION. I would like to know how practically can this help NOD in early game.

EA just did not know how to fill up the NOD SUPPORT POWERS aresenal.

The BUTTON named "FIRESTORM IGNITION" is a forsaken button in an old coffee machine -a useless button. NOD SUPPORT is an UNFINISHED PRODUCT rushed to fast to be released.

Hey! and if Hunters and SandStorms are not powerfull enough.. then take the GDI Offense crawler himself.. You like DOUBLE CANNON TURRET, huh? That's right.. you like it.. I know you do.. If Hunters where not enough to decide a battle of CANNONS vs CANNONS in early game.. you get the DOUBLE CANONN TURRET on top of the GDI Offense to help decide such battle. Why not.. an additional TWO CANNONS to your ground fleet, right ?
So in early, medium stage game, where MEDIUM VEHICLES play an important role in controlling the map, your GDI GROUND FLEET is designed to take this out too easily without giving a proper alternative to NOD.

It is quite cool to have a crawler unit - GDI Offense Crawler - which is more powerfull and way more faster then the MAMOTH TANK itself. right ?

Refer to the following documentation (WORD DOCUMENT) for full details.
http://www.gamereplays.org/community/index...howtopic=724378
Please read the chapter about GDI MULTIPLE WEAPONS on a single unit in that document and about the GDI Offense Crawler weapon which helps him decide even better CANNONS vs CANNONS.

That's why (for example) a GDI OFFENSE CRAWLER and a HUNTERs fleet is always better then a NOD OFFENSE CRAWLER and an AVENGERs fleet.
No matter how good you do with NOD, you can always do CANNONs vs CANNONs better with GDI because of the unit and crawler bonuses.

And, spare me from the NOD Avenger mine which is dropped upon an Avenger's death.. using the NOD tank for a suicidal purposes is useless. The mine does a really minor damage (200 HP damage) not enough. It will take troops away but not beat a healthy GDI medium vehicle (and only if the GDI engies did not detect those mines and explode them already).
