I just clarified how I understood Serg in his comment before. And honestly, yeah, not buying upgrades is in my opinion the fastest way to reach tier 2 - maybe you know a better one, but I don't do so. Hitting tier 3, getting 4000 VP and winning (making it sound like I would think it's easy) and this "That is not so bad right?" are your thoughts and your interpretation, I never mentioned that.
This is A 5 GDI dozer clowns with a malevolent scheme for spamming dozers and throwing mines around the NOD blue carrier. (Watch the north for the first blue).
This sinister tactic would have stopped that unit if the dozer would have been a little faster unit.
A good implementation of that tactic is to also spam Turret Cannons across the path of the NOD carrier at the north to make the round trip impossible to cross.
Eventually the GDI apprentices and their Professor had to abort that tactic because even a pair or triple NOD Muraders can take on a cluster of GDI dozers.
All NOD -> Keep in mind that a few muraders is all you need to stop it, the use of ANTI-EMP in critical time, and a good amount of engies...
Hope you know this was for fun and you post it on gr A weird reason and its not very hard to kills dozers *Maurders, Raiders, Specters, Black Hands, flame collomn, High confesser, Nod tier 3 crawler, *but neither the less good game

Not sure if I misunderstood your question now, but I think Serg meant that they don't buy any unit upgrades, wait until they have five crystals and get tier 2 as soon as possible.
