Battle for Middle Earth 2

this isn't the same kind of game.dat error
this is what i get online and try to connect to a srvr
'Failure Opening New File! C:\Program Files\EA\The Battle for Middle-earth™II\game.dat
I know i have the right version because when i go to Options it says version 1.04 at bottom right.

Make sure you are logged into XP with an administrator account and disable any antivirus software.


Uninstall BFME2, Follow these instructions to completely remove the game..........

Install the game and patch with the following link...........

I am having some trouble with number 3 on the link u gave me for deleting BFME2 and my comp cant open regedit.

Are you logged into XP with an administrator account ?. If you are, just skip that step.

are u talking about on the site or on the application data stuff?

I'm refering to the type of Windows XP account. Press start, control panel, user accounts - the name of the account you are using needs to be a 'Computer Adminstrator' - please check this and post back.
