I've got Brutal legend, it's a good game but what makes it stand out for me is the soundtrack. outstanding music, cool story line, good battles. lots of secondary missions if a little repetitive however i believe the DLC add's more variety.
I've never played Socom so perhaps one of you guys can help with that?

SOCOM is fun for like a week... and then the glitches start getting REALLY annoying.

thing is they're currently on offer
for £7 each
instead of like £20

and i have a giftcard, but it's for a store that doesn't primarily sell vidya.

i'm thinking socom, have they fixed the glitches?

SOCOM was a lot of fun, I really enjoyed it, but have not played in forever. AFAIK they patched the glitches and such.

The only problem you may run into is lack of clan support. Communication is a huge part of being successful in SOCOM, it is a very slow game play, and requires a lot of precision. Don't expect it to be anything like a CoD game at all. If you run and gun you will get killed almost every time. Not to say rushing is ineffective, but you will have to adjust. There is a steep learning curve if you've never playing SOCOM before.

If you get it, I may hop on with you just to try it out again! smile.gif

I really had a lot of fun with SOCOM, and if SOCOM 4 is any good, I might give it a go too.

i did play the origional socom's on ps2, but i've just looked at the ps3 forums for it and apparently they have cancelled plans for any more DLC and patches, leaving games pretty angry.

no single player campaign too post-13661-1143531603.gif
