Hacking is not fun for anyone regardless if you're the player or the victim of the hacks, please do your best to avoid doing it. I say this because, as of recent, I noticed one of our member from our clan has been hacking online using a hacked map believed to be created by him.

Are you sure he used it to cheat and not just tried random test on someone without being aware it not allowed? xD


Ah... that make me wonder if all the stuff I did with my UOP 1.04 testing all of these years was against the rules

(Played with testers and we tried random stuff on each other for testing, and these stuff may look like cheats for people who monitor our stuff and think we seriously matching... )

I'd prefer it if the FeaR clan was not even remotely assossiated with any hacks or hacked maps. See our hidden policy here is, if you behave you will be rewarded well. If you misbehave the walls start closing in, and darknes creeps towards you from all corners...you start too hear whisper's... No but seriously we have don't have a lot tolerance compared to other clans afaik. Namely because the bar has been set so high by the rest of our members

@Egozi, if you tested things with the other player knowing so, it's not cheating. Also, while cheating and hacking are always bad, you're best off testing or breaking the game in an unranked match .

Lastly, I doubt you can be reprimanded for hacking in your own mod (although I can't explicitly answer that).

Yea no hack was used there, nor ranked match (as it limit our options iirc), just modding, love, and hippies (just kidding)

It just that for someone who monitor us (if it possible) it can look like some sort of hack if he don't know it moded game (not sure if he can watch the match without the mod's files though)



Just interesting thing to note, many people out there who download c&c online don't actually know it have some rules or relate to GR, they just see it as easy and better replacement to Gameranger, Hamachi, Gearena, etc

People used to pm me how to run c&c mods in GR or GA (which is why I made my gameranger and c&c online guides in moddb)


But these days if someone pm me I just recommend him to try c&c online instead, I myself didn't was aware we can be monitor for hacks and didn't knew we have any rules we need to follow till recently, I just saw it as good replacement for GameSpy and gameranger

Rules mostly apply for ranked matches and even then, we don't have many rules. The most rules regarding bug abuse typically apply to tournaments only.

Now if you want to show good sportsmanship, that's a different thing entirely

As for observers, they can only ever watch your games if they have both the same mod AND the same version.

Such a member, who had great potential to be a map maker, but he screwed it up and hacked, this is what you get, dishonorable discharge.

Oh, well I left the clan about 3 weeks after I found Overwatch, since this is more like a map maker clan, and all I was doing was testing, but TBH, I have already got 5 clan invites from Overwatch, and I am juggling my options, as too, do I even want to be in a clan right now.
