Well, this was a quite interesting MU. Men and Dwarves vs Isen and Mordor. It's almost a fair MU I think since mordor can handle Men and vice versa, and Dwarves can handle Isen and vice versa.

This rep actually shows how powerfull demolishers still are, but I see no one using them. Though it's kinda the same as a zerk sneak attack, only u don't have to sneak it with some backup. 1 is enough to finish it. I'd like a review on this lol tongue.gif

Mordor (Adelphoi|Polym) & Isengard (Adelphoi|Traym): North
Dwarves (Blade|Dagon) & Men of the West (Blade|Sasuke): South

Overview:

Was a very swift game dominated by Blade who had complete map control after getting a couple of Battlewagons on the field. A nice innovative strategy by the Dwarven player who went for a quick Demolisher provided him with the means to end the game in a full force assault on Mordor who didn't possess the necessary units to fend it off. Isengard fell shortly after.

Mordor & Isengard - Adelphoi

Build Order: Slaughter House - Slaughter House - Orc Pit - Slaughter House - Orc Pit
Power Point Path: Tainted Land

Build Order: Furnace - Steading - Furnace - Steading
Power Point Path: Birds

You two unfortunately foundered on the fact that you went for a very weak early game strategy. You knew the opponent's factions after scouting but failed to adjust your BOs to what you saw. Isengard's double steading spam was a very bad idea as the BO was firstly not correct and that kind of Dunland spam strategy is neither good vs Motw nor is it good vs Dwarves. Mordor's orc spam strategy was lacking the pike support as Battlewagons should have been anticipated. The kamikaze attack on the dwarven base with the orc army which was annihilated by Battlewagons and Isengard losing his contingent of six Dunlands to Battlewagons cost you the game as 12 units lost to almost nothing early game is hard to compensate.
    Tips for Improvement:

  • (Mordor) Immediately put pressure on the dwarves and get a fast counter to Battlewagons - pikes or cavalry.
  • (Mordor) If you can't get pikes due to CP limit, just sell off some of your orcs to get some of their money back instead of wasting your entire orc army to Battlewagons by attacking.
  • (Isengard) Disadvantageous BO - you need at least three furnaces to sustain a double steading spam. Also: a double steading spam is a bad choice vs Motw and Dwarves as you can expect Battlewagons or cavalry. Uruks are the better choice.
  • (Isengard) Rather sell off your units or hide them behind your fort than let the Battlewagons slaughter them.
  • (Isengard) Switch strategies when you realise your error (which I'm sure you did) - demolish at least one steading and go for uruks and wargs.

Dwarves & Motw - Blade

Build Order: Tunnel - Tunnel - Hall of Warriors - Tunnel - Forge Works
Power Point Path: Rallying Call - Men of Dale

Build Order: Farm - Farm - Barracks - Farm - Farm
Power Point Path: Rallying Call - Heal

A nice game by you, especially by Dagon as the Battlewagon and Demolisher combination worked very well in this constellation. There isn't too much to tell you two as you pretty close to overran your opponents when they had absolutely nothing to counter your Battlewagons.
    Tips for Improvement:

  • Get some pikes earlier on as you can usually expect cavalry to come into play as a counter to your Battlewagons and soldiers sooner or later.
  • (Dwarves) Keep on expanding. When demolisher rushing you virtually ceased building or recruiting anything.
  • (Motw) Don't lose Boromir needlessly, retreat him on time.

Thank you and it was my pleasure. The rating was unfortunately dragged down a bit cause Adelphoi sorta messed up in this game but well played by you guys.

Disagreed. One Mordor orc takes so long to kill a solider, pikes suck vs soliders and cav are easily countered. The men player ravages the Mordor's base and then uses fire arrows rangers for the kill.

dwarf can handle isen and vise versa

Once again disagreed. The Isen can deal with the dwarf with wildmen for a little bit, but heroes will kill pikes and wagons will pulvarise wildmen. Heavily weighted towards dwarf.

Not quite true. Orc archers as well as Haradrim lancers are very effective at countering Motw's infantrie and Mordor's heroes are vastly superior to Motw's so it's by no means heavily imbalanced towards Motw.

Isen's absolutely worst counter to Dwarves are Wildmen. Uruks with Lurtz's support are very effective in countering Dwarves. Again, by no means heavily imbalanced toward Dwarves.

I think Isen with wildmen mixed with pikes can do lot of damage at rushing dwarves but for kill army uruks and lurtz with some wargs works perfectly. Dwarves obviously got the upper hand cuz their great pikes and guardians and the easily microed wagons
